Man United ‘line up shock move for injury-prone free agent striker’ after he was released by Premier League club

Manchester United is reportedly eager to sign free agent Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

The sniper is without a club after leaving Everton at the end of his contract after a stint of nine years.

His last seasons were marred by injuries and he was limited to 19 Premier League Starts Last Campaign and scored three goals.

But Ruben Amorim regards him as a useful option for a snapping prize, while Man United tries to stay to the right of financial rules, according to the Sun.

United has already added Matheus Cunha from Wolves for £ 62.5 million and Paraguayan teenage sensation Diego Leon for £ 7 million from Cerro Poreno to their team.

As Mail Sport has reported, they may also close a deal for Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo more than £ 65 million – and all that expenditure means that they also have to sell and look at cheap options.

Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, Jadon Sancho and Tyrell Malacia have been commissioned to stay away from the training for the time being so that they can find new clubs.

Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee have also not succeeded in breaking the net with a lot of frequency and as such, Amorim is looking for striking reinforcements.

There is little doubt about the potential of Calvert-Lewin when he touches his pass.

Between 2019 and 2021, the 6FT2 in Batting RAM scored 36 goals over two seasons and forced its way to the design of England, earned 11 caps and scored four goals.

He saw that in high question – United was then repeatedly connected to him, but never signed him in the midst of a price tag of £ 80 million – but since then injuries have destroyed his career.

A hamstring bladder ruled him from most of the second half of last season and that was actually his 13th injury since the start of the 2020-21 campaign.

However, the sun reports that United sees him as a possible third or fourth choice, and that role, with less tension on his body, could get the best out of him when he plays.

The newspaper has the possibility of a 'lucrative contract' for the 28-year-old fed by performances and goals as a stimulus.

United continues to Mbeumo, who is three years younger than Calvert-Lewin, but Brentford is not ready for their £ 65 million appreciation among new manager Keith Andrews.

Tottenham competes for him for him and has the convincing tool of Thomas Frank, his former bee boss, in the Dugout -as well as Champions League football after they had defeated United 1-0 in the Europa League final.
