Manchester United has appointed Christopher Vivell as a full -time basic director of the club.
Earlier this month, Mail Sport revealed that Vivell had conversations about the permanent acceptance of the role.
Vivell was initially in July in an interim role at the club and played a role in signing players while working under budgetary disabilities.
And he has now agreed to stay after signing a multi -year contract.
Vivell previously had a short spell as the technical director of Chelsea between December 2022 and July 2023.
He was appointed in the role of Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali after their takeover of the club, successor to former adviser and legendary Chelsea -goalkeeper Petr Cech.
His departure came after a restructuring at the board level after the transfer star in January in 2023, as a result of which Vivell reported to sporting directors Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley.
Vivell's role in Man United comes when the Red Devils formalize their leadership structure after the shock output of Dan Ashworth as sports director in December.
Mail Sport revealed last month that Jason Wilcox, technical director of Man United, would be given an extensive assignment.
Wilcox works closely with the Chief Executive Omar Berrada of the club.
In addition to Wilcox and Berrada, Ineos Director of Sport Sir Dave Brailsford represents the property to form a three-man football leadership team.
Vivell – who reportedly played a role in the addition of the Malian midfielder Sekou Kone, has now reportedly played a role in the addition of the Malian midfielder – is now ready to lead and supervise the recruitment operation of the club and supervise on their reconnaissance structure.
The 38-year-old, who previously worked for the Red Bull Group in Salzburg and Leipzig, will increase the clarity about the football structure of United in the future, while undergoing further cost-saving measures guided by Ineos.
After he had already attached 250 jobs last year, the club announced plans to make more than 200 employees superfluous on Monday.
As a result, the set -up of the exploration will be influenced, but it is hoped that Vivell will send the recruitment of United to happier times.
In recent years there have been several high -profile looks at the transfer market, with many large money at Old Trafford no positive impact on the club.
This includes £ 85 million Antony, £ 60 million Angel di Maria and £ 73 million Jadon Sancho.
United is currently 15th in the Premier League, 14 points of the top four. They return to action on Wednesday when they organize Ipswich.
