Man United sign South American wonderkid, 18, as Ruben Amorim’s second summer recruit

Manchester United has confirmed the signing of Paraguayan teenage sensation Diego Leon prior to next week's training.

United agreed to a deal with a value of a maximum of £ 7 million to sign the 18-year-old defender from Cerro Poreno, making him the second signing of the Club of the Summer after they had transferred Matheus Cunha from Wolves last month for £ 62.5 million.

Although Leon is determined to fight for his place, it is expected that Ruben Amorim and his coaching staff will follow him in the preseason before they decide whether he should include him in the first team team or send him on loan.
