Man United star plans transfer talks ahead of summer move: ‘Very comfortable’

The defender of Manchester United Victor Lindelof is expected to leave the club after eight years and the 30-year-old has spoken about his future while he is in international service at Sweden.

Victor Lindelof from Manchester United has insisted that he is “very comfortable” at Old Trafford, but admitted that he intends to hold conversations about his future. Lindelof has been to United for eight years and went to the club from Benfica in 2017.

However, he is no longer a contract at the end of the season and is expected to be part of a large squadevision under Ruben Amorim while he wants to place his mark on the team. Lindelof is currently gone on international service with Sweden and was questioned about his future.

“I feel very comfortable in United,” said Lindelof, according to the PA press agency. “I have been there for a long time and it is the world's best competition. I will have to talk to everyone involved in the future.”

His comments come after BBC Sport reported earlier this month that Benfica was interested in re-signing the 30-year-old. Lindelof joined Benfica as a teenage perspective and spent five years in the club before United spent around £ 31 million to take him to England.

It is claimed that Benfica wants Lindelof to replace the former Manchester City defender Nicolas Otamendi, who remains an important player for Bruno Low at the age of 37. And Lindelof has admitted that Benfica still has a special place in his heart.

“Benfica as a club means a lot to me,” Lindelof added to the Portuguese broadcaster -TV. “It is the club that made me the player I am today. I don't know what will happen and what my decision will be.

“But it is a club that means a lot to me and a club that I like. I don't just have to think myself. It is a decision that we have to make together as a family.”

So far, Lindelof has only made two Premier League Start this season and has fallen the pecking order in Old Trafford after the signing sessions of Matthijs de Ligt, Leny Yoro and Ayden Heaven.

And United also wants to strengthen their backline next summer, with reports that claim that the club Everton Center-Back Jarrad Branthwaite has scored their top goal. Branthwaite was the target of United last summer, but they did not eventually come to Everton's demands.

However, it is said that they are ready to pay their asking price this summer. However, Branthwaite will hope that United can be eligible for the Champions League by winning the Europa League, because the 22-year-old would believe that playing European football will help him win a place in Thomas Tuchel's English plans.

Branthwaite was surprisingly overlooked for Tuchel's first three Lions team, so Everton boss David Moyes had to say: “I don't choose the English team, so I can only say if you look at the last six or seven weeks Jarrad Branthwaite and every English center in the country.

“But the big thing he has to do? Go play for England under the age of 21 and are the best player again, and then he will be selected again. That is the instructions I gave him to see what you can do for the 21s and Lee Carsley will return good information to the manager and hopefully it will bring you back.”
