Man United up Bryan Mbeumo bid to £70MILLION – a £15m rise on their first offer

Manchester United has made an improved bid to sign Bryan Mbeumo in an attempt to finally complete the signing of the Cameroon Storage from Brentford.

Untied had rejected a second bid of a maximum of £ 62.5 million for Mbeumo by Brentford at the end of June, but the winger informed his club that he only wants to move to Old Trafford this summer.

The attacker has been one of United's most sought after, with their first £ 55 million offered when Ruben Amorim tries to recruit reinforcements for his struggling attack.

The attacker, who scored 20 Premier League goals for the bees in the past term, has also built up from Arsenal, Newcastle United and Tottenham, who are now managed by former Brentford Baas Thomas Frank.

It had become quiet in recent weeks, with concern that United had not reached the asking price and a lack of progress. But that seems to have changed.

However, the supply is now worth £ 65 million plus £ 5 million in add-ons, with the Red Devils awaiting a reaction from the bees.

The pursuit of Mbeumo from United had previously taken a hit when Spurs made their wish about a potential movement that was known, and it left the player with a dilemma.

Amorim and Co had hoped to have Mbeumo in their team before the start of the preseason, with players who report to Carrington from the week of July 7 at Carrington.

Finding the back of the net turned out to be one of the biggest problems for United last season and that is one of the reasons why Mbeumo is seen as a priority study by director Jason Wilcox and the rest of the football hierarchy.

The Red Devils scored only 44 goals in the Premier League, the second lowest of none of them -Gerelegered side – a record low because the division was renamed in 1992.

Since joining Brentford for a transfer costs of £ 5.8 million in 2019, MBeumo has scored 70 goals in 242 games, including 42 in 136 Premier League matches, which blooms in one of the most deadly attackers in the division.

This all came under the stewardship of Frank, who was unveiled as the new head coach of Tottenham – after firing Ange Postecoglou – earlier in the month, after he had spent nine years with the bees, seven of which came as a manager.

Although Mbeumo had previously expressed a preference to move to the red side of Manchester, Tottenham was willing to test it after the appointment of the former boss of the winger.

After two weeks of deliberation, however, Mbeumo decided that he only wants to move to United, and informed both Frank and the bees of that wish.

The 25 -year -old, who sees his contract expires next year – although Brentford has an option to extend it by 12 months – would be the second signing of the summer of the summer behind the £ 62.5 million Matheus Cunha if they can conclude an agreement.
