United striker Marcus Rashford has accused the press of fabricating reports about his future with the Red Devils.
The striker took to his Instagram account to clarify the situation, despite being overlooked by new United boss Ruben Amorim for four games in a row.
Rashford has struggled with his form in front of goal this season, scoring just four goals and one assist in the 15 Premier League games he has featured in.
New United boss Amorim has opted for an attacking force of Diallo, Zirkzee and Hojlund, with Rashford seemingly not part of his immediate plans.
Rashford lashes out
“Marcus Rashford is stepping forward in his bid to leave Manchester United and holding talks with the organization that secured his £86million transfer. Another United star could sign for Saudi Arabia,” reads the headline shared by the England player.
“A lot of false stories have been written in recent weeks, but guys, this is getting ridiculous: I've never met an agency and I don't plan to…” he stated bluntly on his Instagram account. putting an end to rumors that he is destined for the exit door at Old Trafford for the time being.
The next step for the Red Devils is a visit to Arne Slot's Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday, January 5. Only time will tell whether Amorim will include Rashford in his matchday squad for the test against the Premier League leaders.
