Man Utd AGREE to sell Marcus Rashford to Barcelona as Old Trafford outcast closes in on massive Nou Camp transfer

The Barcelona dream of Marcus Rashford becomes a reality after Manchester United has received an opening bid.

Barcelona has held an approach for a loan with an option for the English international, which has been told that it is no longer required at Old Trafford.

Rashford spent the second half of last season on loan in Aston Villa, after a move to Spain became too complicated in the January window.

The graduate of the United Academy has trained in Carrington together with the rest of the Ruben Amorim bomb team, including Antony and Alejandro Garnaacho.

Rashford has long made it clear that his desired movement was Barcelona, although the Spanish side also weighed a movement for Luis Diaz in Liverpool.

United, who has to clean up a number of players Amorim is not interested in keeping, has agreed to punish a road on loan, although no deal has yet been completed.

The versatile attacker fell in the pecking order shortly after the arrival from Amorim to Old Trafford in November and spent the second half of last season on loan in Aston Villa.

The International of England then sent a coming and get-me-transfer plea to Barcelona by saying that he wants to play with Wonderkid Lamine Yamal from the Spanish champions.

Barcelona manager Hansi Flick is understood as a relocation for Rashford, while the club agrees that he fits them at a football and financial level.

In the meantime, the United Ace only trains with Amorim no plans to integrate him again to the first team.

Fellowcasts Antony, Garnacho, Jadon Sancho and Tyrell Malacia also train away from the first team.

Barcelona wants to add some spark to their attack before next season.

They were previously connected to people such as Liverpool's Diaz, Arsenal's Gabriel Martinelli, Kingsley Coman by Bayern Munich and of course Nico Williams, who signed a new 10-year deal with Bilbao.

This is after Man Utd -legend Teddy Sherdingham claimed that Rashford “does not deserve a summer movement to Barcelona” after he has described his push to leave his boy's club as “Soul Destroying”.

Sheringham said: “If you judge where Marcus Rashford is, as a professional football player, you strive as a young person to reach the top and play for clubs such as Manchester United, and if you are, you appreciate it.

“You don't throw it away and say that you want to leave. From my perspective, if you go from United to Barcelona, that is a step higher that he has not earned.

“I find the entire episode very pathetic, compared to the way I used to be and how I aimed to get the privilege to play for such a huge football club.

“To hear someone talking as he is talking and says he wants to get out of it, I didn't like Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang did that at Arsenal, I thought the soul destroyed.

“I hope Rashford will not get the move for Hanke.”
