Man Utd ‘confident’ of landing Bryan Mbeumo in £50m deal as transfer plan becomes clear

Manchester United is ready for a busy summer on the transfer market and there is already a pattern at Old Trafford for the first season of Ruben Amorim in the club

Manchester United has passed from Liam Delap and will now try to sign Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo in a £ 50 million deal this summer. The Red Devils are becoming increasingly confident that they can lure the attacker to Old Trafford after the striker indicated that he wanted to move to the club.

United is obliged to combat interest from people like Newcastle and Arsenal to secure the Cameroon International. Ruben Amorim would like to make Mbeumo, who scored 20 goals in the Premier League in 2024/25, an integral member of his team.

The Red Devils have paid their attention to Mbeumo after they have missed in Chelsea for Delap Delap from Ipswich. The 22-year-old former man of the Man City is ready to be announced as the newest signing of the blues after undergoing his medical, to which Chelsea has agreed to pay his release clause of £ 30 million.

United will hope to continue to strengthen Amorim's hand after announcing their first deal of the summer of the weekend. The 13 times Premier League champions confirmed a deal for Matheus Cunha to agree with Wolves after a £ 62.5 million.

The Brazil attacker was present in Manchester at the weekend before he leaves for international service. The club wants to supplement their front line after he has not seen a member of their team double digits in the goals of the Premier League.

But United's attention that focuses on Mbeumo also seems to emphasize the focus of Premier League talent. That seems to see that the club would see a different approach to the past seasons.

Last summer some heavy editions such as the will of Leny Yoro, Manuel Ugarte, Matthijs de Ligt and Joshua Zirkzee were brought in from abroad and the season before that only Mason Mount saw from the top flight of England. And in 2022/23 the signing sessions of Antony, Lisandro Martinez and Casemiro stolen the newspaper heads, although United took advantage of Christian Eriksen

It may come as little surprise that the club from the division would look after struggling at the 15th in 2024/25. And the issues of United were all the more clearer in the interior because they earned their way to the final before they were not recorded against the British opposition in Tottenham.

United Boss Amorim has previously emphasized why he believes that problems have been found when playing more well -known opposition. “If you play against every team in England, the physicality is there,” he said.

“If you don't have any physicality, you will struggle a lot. Antony is now so much better in Spain. There are many factors, but I guarantee that it is physicality.”

And bringing players in who already have Premier League experience and have thrive in the area, such as Cunha and Mbeumo, would not only improve the team, but possibly need less time to adapt. After a gloomy start for Amorim, he will hope that such players will at least offer part of the answer.
