
Manchester United has finally confirmed that the loan from Tyrell Malacia is switching to PSV, even though the British transfer window is closed.
The Dutchman was associated with a move to the Eredivisie side during the Deadline Day, and his switch is now officially with the Dutch window that is still open. A club statement that is released late on Tuesday evening was: “Manchester United Defender Tyrell Malacia will be on loan for the rest of the season 2024/25 with Eredivisie Side PSV Eindhoven.
“The 25-year-old joined the Reds in 2022 and made 39 performances during an accomplished debut season, before a long-term injury led to a long-lasting enchantment on the sidelines.
“After having worked hard to rebuild his fitness and match the sharpness, Malacia returned this campaign to action earlier and Nederlands International played eight times under Ruben Amorim. It has been agreed that Tyrell will now connect with the Peter Bosz side In his home country for the rest of this season.
“PSV, who play their home games in Philips Stadium, are currently top of the Dutch First Division with a margin of two points. They also prepare for a Champions League play-off against Juventus, after the 14th in the new Competition phase of the competition.
“The PSV team in particular contains former Premier League players Ivan Perisic and veteran -striker Luuk de Jong. Everyone at United wishes Tyrell good for the rest of the season.”
Speaking after the move had been officially made, Malacia said: “I am happy to be here. Finally playing good football again. I come from a long injury, but now I am fit and I know that my time will come again.
“In every difficult period there are also positive elements and in this case it is that I have become much stronger physically and mentally. I have more patience, I am more mature, know my body better and things like that. I am ready to pop out And hopefully win different prizes with PSV.
Malacia was continued this month in the Old Trafford Pecking Order with the signing of £ 25 million from Patrick Dorgu van Lecce. He is not eligible to make his debut against former side Feyenoord in Midweek, but his PSV -Boog could come across Willem II this weekend.
The left back is far from the only senior member of the United Squad to seal a loan movement in January. The Brazilian winger Antony was allowed to accompany by the Spanish side until the end of the season.
Marcus Rashford has also moved to Aston Villa until the end of the campaign, but they retain an option to make the deal permanent.
