Manchester United has confirmed their decision to build a brand new super stage with 100,000 seats.
The vision of Sir Jim Ratcliffe on a £ 2 billion 'Wembley of the North' is at the center of a wider regeneration of the Old Trafford area.
The legendary 115-year-old Theater of Dreams has given the background for the greatest moments in English football history.
But an Old Trafford Regeneration Task Force – organized by the new minority owner Ratcliffe – has confirmed plans to demolish it and build a brand new house on an adjacent country.
The Task Force discovered that the stay in Old Trafford, which has been standing since 1910, could only jump the capacity from 74,000 to 87,000.
Build a new stadium and you not only get 100,000, your unlocking one of the largest regeneration projects in the history of Great Britain.
Co-owner of the Ratcliffe Subvure said: “Today the start of Anincredibel, exciting journey to the delivery of what will be the largest football stadium in the world, in the center of a regenerated Old Trafford.
“Our current stadium has served us brilliantly for the past 115 years, but it has fallen behind the best arenas in world sport.
“By building in addition to the existing site, we will be able to maintain the essence of Old Trafford, while we create a real state-of-the-art stadium that the fan experience only transforms footsteps from our historic house.”

The stadium and the broader regeneration project have the potential to deliver £ 7.3 billion a year a year to the British economy.
The complex will have a large transport hub and dedicated building for sports, educational, entertainment and business.
Other common benefits are more than 17,000 new houses and boards a year another 1.8 million visitors.
And their plans to re -form the area would create more than 92,000 vacancies.
The architecture group that has been appointed to design the best-in-class Stadiondistrict is called Foster + Partners.
The company is led by the award -winning architect Lord Norman Foster, a narrow friend of Ratcliffe's who currently supervises the makeover of the Carrington Training Base of United.
The government has identified infrastructure investments as a strategic priority, especially in the north of England.
The announcement comes the day after the Bombshell interview of Ratcliffe with Regeneration Task Force -member Gary Neville.
While discussing the current disabled state of the club on the field, Sir Jim insisted that Man Utd will finance the project himself.
He said: “We can build a stadium. We do not need government financing for that stadium, but it must be the basement for regeneration.
“The only basis on which we can build a new one is if it is part of this regeneration schedule of the government for South Manchester, because we cannot afford to regenerate Zuid -Manchester, that is too large a bill for the club.”
So United will deliver the stadium, while the Mayoral Development Corporation will support the wider regeneraton of Trafford Park.
Sir Alex Ferguson urged fans to be brave and to accept the fate of Old Trafford while supporting the decision.
Ferguson said: “Manchester United must always strive for the best in everything it does, on and next to the field.
“And that includes the stadium in which we play. Old Trafford has so many special memories for me personally.
“But we must be brave and seize this opportunity to rebuild at home, suitable for the future, where new history can be made.”
And Lord Sebastian Coe compared that these plans have been the most expanding urban regeneration project in the UK since London 2012.
Part of the feasibility study included a study, including more than 50,000 men UTD season card holders, members and members of the executive club members who found more than half that a new stadium was.
Chancellor of the Treasury, Rachel Reeves, is one of the leading voices that defend the regeneration project.
The Task Force consists of former United Skipper Neville, mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham and the Council of Trafford Council Sara Todd.
Mayor Burnham: “Manchester United would and would indeed have the best football stadium in the world.
“For me that means a stadium that is faithful to the traditions of the club, affordable for everyone, nobody priced, and a stadium that puts new standards in the game worldwide.
“I believe that this vision can be realized, and if so, the benefits for Greater Manchester, the Northwest and the Land will be huge.”
The decision came only two days after United fans had made the greatest protest since Ratcliffe was introduced last year.
More than 5,000 supporters gathered outside Old Trafford before the 1-1 draw of United with Arsenal, in protest against the ownership of the club.
Viral videos showed hundreds of singing: “Sales United and F *** off home” prior to the iconic stadium.
The spokesperson for 1958 Steve Crompton has claimed that the club “dies” and “is” confronted with financial armageddon “.
