Manchester United has decided to pursue Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo in the summer transfer window in a transfer that could force a commemorative capacity for Rivals Liverpool
Manchester United chases Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo in a movement that can have a domino effect for Rivals Liverpool. United would have wanted to sign Ipswich -striker Liam Delap alongside Wolves' Matheus Cunha van Wolves, but is now looking at a £ 50 million deal for Mbeumo.
Delap goes to Chelsea in a transfer of £ 30 million after he has agreed United and Everton, which gives rise to a reconsideration at Old Trafford. Mbeumo enjoyed a wonderful campaign for Brentford, registered 20 goals and eight assists in 38 Premier League matches and is ready to change clubs in the summer transfer window.
United is supposed to be 'confident' of the landing of Mbeumo, which was previously associated with Liverpool, as well as Newcastle. The side of Arne Slot has also been busy in the early stages of the summer transfer window and signed Jeremie Frimpong for £ 29.5 million while haunting the signature of his former Bayer Leverkusen teammate Florian Wirtz.
Mbeumo plays in the same position as Mohamed Salah on the right wing and has a similar style, which often cuts on his left foot to shoot at goal. It has been suggested that the 25-year-old Cameroon International would therefore make a solid long-term successor to Salah.
Salah signed a new two-year contract with Liverpool in April, but with the Egyptian star now 32 years old and with a move to the Saudi Pro League in the future still a need to plan ahead. If Mbeumo chooses to move to Old Trafford, it seems that Liverpool has to go back to the drawing table.
United is confronted with a crucial summer transfer window after 15th in the Premier League and losing the Europa League final. Ruben Amorim wants to overhaul his under -performing team and the conquest of Mbeumo – in addition to Cunha, who participates in a relocation of £ 62.5 million – would be a declaration of intent.
Brentford -Manager Thomas Frank worked with Mbeumo for six years and has seen him bloom in one of the most effective attackers of the Premier League. He knows that, despite the end of the 10th, five places above United, the bees will struggle to hold Mbeumo, which can control much higher wages elsewhere.
Did you say! Would Bryan Mbeumo be a good signature for Manchester United? Respond below.
“He has been fantastic,” he told Sky Sports recently. “For me it has been a privilege to work with him for six years and see his development of a teenager, I think he was 19 when he came in many ways or a young man, to a more mature man. And I think that personal development is just as important.
“I always knew that he was a goal scorer. Now he is now just a more consistent goalscorer. His hold-up play is even better, his assist play or link-up play, his work ethics is fantastic. So very impressed.”
Asked if he will remain a Brentford player next season, Frank replied: “Let's look. We all love him. I watch him every day, he comes in with a big smile, trains with a big smile. He likes to be a Brentford player, but let's look.”
