Patrick Dorgu has been omitted from Lecce's team to prevent Parma in the Serie A, while Manchester United Push to close a deal before the transfer window closes.
Manager Marco Giampaolo had indicated earlier in the week that the Danish international would travel before the competition. However, when Lecce announced their team on Friday, Dorgu was nowhere to be seen.
Dorgu, 20, is expected to go to England at the weekend prior to a move to Old Trafford. He has to get a fee in the £ 30 million region, making him the first signing of Ruben Amorim since he took over the head coach of United.
The move does not come on time for the United match against Crystal Palace on Sunday, but a medical one for the young person has been pushed back, but the Premier League club still has time to get the deal.
“From today he is a Lecce player, so he will be called and will travel for the game,” said Giampaolo in his press conference for the game. “I made him reviews, so I will make the most logical decision because Lecce comes for everything else.”
The Parma match will be the first Dorgu to miss since September, when he was suspended for a scoreless draw with Torino. The Giampaolo team is going on a target difference in the lower three in the lower three game, so a result against Parma – those two places above them – would be crucial.
Full-back Danilo Veiga is signed as a potential replacement for Dorgu, and the former Estrela da Amadora is full-back in the team. Center-back Tiago Gabriel has also been admitted after participating in the same Portuguese club
United stayed in Romania at night after beating FCSB in the Europa League on Thursday, with Amorim's team back in England on Friday in England, while the work behind the scenes continues. Stand-in left-left Diogo Dalot scored in Bucharest, just like Kobbie Mainoo, and the head coach praised both players when he spoke with the media.
“Diogo has already had some opportunities in different games,” said Amorim. “Kobbie Mainoo played in a different position, with more freedom, more near the box. He is so technical, he can change the game there. So I think it's a good position for him, we'll see.
“But I'm glad Kobbie enjoys the game more. Sometimes he is worried about the recovery [runs]Try to defend and I know he's trying. Today I felt that Kobbie enjoyed the game more and I am happy with that. “
