Manchester United remains as the dream destination for a large number of players despite their misery of the past seasons and a star who looked at a move to Old Trafford has moved elsewhere
Manchester United represents the Pinnacle for a number of stars despite their recent problems – and that is no different for Serie A Star Nikola Krstovic. The former Lecce star recently admired the Red Devils earlier this year.
He said: “After the game against Torino he told (Mirko Vucinic) me” Think of the next “. Where would I never play? In Bari. My dream is Manchester United.
“It's only the second year here in Lecce. I am very happy, both me and my family. We have friends and we enjoy it, so let's think about the present.”
Despite fighting a move to Old Trafford, the Montenegrin attacker will now have to put his dream on hold after he has sealed a switch to Italian Rivals Atalanta. The Serie A -side has paid £ 22 million for its services, while Krstovic Pen put on paper on its switch.
Atalanta was previously connected to a movement for Fulham's Rodrigo Muniz, but seem to have lost patience in conversations and have opted for an alternative. The arrival of Krstovic comes in the midst of a tense situation with regard to the current star breathola lookman.
After scoring 52 goals before the Italian side in the past three seasons and helped them to win the Europa League in 2024, he tried to remove a move in the midst of Inter Milan's interest.
Lookman recently went to Instagram with an explosive statement that confirmed that he had submitted a transfer search. He wrote: “Countless clubs have been approached in the past and I have always remained loyal.
“I and the ownership of the club, however, agree that it is now the right time and that the club was clear to me that if an honest offer came in, they would allow me to move.
“Despite the fact that he now receives an offer in coordination with what I think the club has unfortunately been discussed, the club blocks the chance for reasons I don't understand.

“As a result and after many months of broken promises and what I think there has been a bad treatment for me if both a person and as a professional football player, I unfortunately have the feeling that I have no choice but to say for what I think is good and I think enough is enough. I can confirm that I have now handed a formal transfer request.”
Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi has recently been opened about the situation and claimed that the club would like to sell – but only for their price and not for a direct rival. He said: “It is a good opportunity to clarify what happened. Last year the player had asked us to be sold after an offer of 20 million from PSG.
“Atalanta, as a credible club, had promised to sell the player on the basis of two conditions that he himself asked of us: first, to go to a super, top European club, and that he would never wear a shirt other than Atalanta in Italy, given what he did for the club and what he received from the club.
“Today, as you know, the situation is very different. The club is always careful when evaluating the value and timing of its players, but as always it is Atalanta, the club, that decides.”
