The Serbian Shot stopper is on the United shopping list this summer, while the current goalkeeper Andre Onana continues to struggle between the posts. His mistakes have been consistent, with his most striking in the first stage of the quarterfinals collision of the Europa League with Lyon who almost hit his side out of the competition.
In May 2014, United reached an agreement to sign the goalkeeper, but he did not succeed in earning a work permit to play in England and left the side in 2015. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the club has already made contact with the Italian side while trying to solve their defensive problems and to bring them into it.
“Excl: Manchester United has added Vanja Milinković-Savić to their shortlist for new goalkeeper. The first contacts took place for Torino GK among candidates for next season, waiting for a price tag and more.”
The 28-year-old is 6'8 and has had a fantastic season with Torino so far, in which 11 clean sheets are collected under manager Paolo Vanoli. Torino's President Urbano Cairo said that no bids have been made yet, but did not confirm that conversations did not start.
“He had a great championship and it is normal for him to get a lot of attention, but no supply has not yet arrived.”
In a recent interview about his future, the Serbian spoke and revealed that he does not set goals and would rather stay in the present.
“I have learned that setting goals is not positive, it is better to take things off with the lights. In all teams there are replacements of players who are sold and bought, the most important thing is to find the right players to strengthen the team.”
