Man Utd eye shock Man City move as Rashford given new option

Manchester United are in desperate need of signings, and they need them now.

The Red Devils are in thirteenth place in the Premier League after another defeat. And they have received no plaudits from Ruben Amorim, who called the current crop of stars the 'worst' in United's long history.

A number of additions would go a long way in getting the club back on track. But before that happens, they need some faces to leave and free up some crucial funds.

A slew of players have been linked with exits in the past 24 hours as United look to be moving closer to their own signing. Check out the latest transfer news and rumors from Old Trafford.

Man United could make a shock move for Manchester City maverick Jack Grealish as a replacement for Marcus Rashford. The former Aston Villa star has struggled at the Etihad Stadium in recent months and a fresh start could potentially get him back on track.

German giants Borussia Dortmund are keeping an eye on him as they look to strengthen their attacking options. However, United could be an option.

The Sun reports that the Red Devils as well as Grealish's former club Aston Villa, Newcastle and Tottenham are keeping a close eye on him. The England winger, 29, has two and a half years left on his contract with Man City.

While United could sign Grealish as Rashford's replacement, there is still one issue: the academy graduate's future. Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan are strongly linked but have failed to agree terms with United.

But there is now a new option for the attacker. According to French outlet L'Equipe, Marseille are interested in moving for Rashford.

The Ligue 1 giants could use more attacking options as Elye Wahi heads for a move to Eintracht Frankfurt as a replacement for Man City-bound Omar Marmoush. A move to the Stade Velodrome would see Rashford reunited with former United teammate Mason Greenwood.

It looks like Brazilian winger Antony Rashford will follow out the exit of Old Trafford and it looks like a move is closer than ever. According to AS, Real Betis are on their way to a loan deal for his signature.

It has been suggested that they will contribute to his wages, while they could be fined if they do not play him enough. Antony has reportedly flown to Spain to undergo medical treatment before completing a temporary move until the end of the season.

Antony, signed from Ajax for £81 million, has two and a half years left on his current contract.
