Man Utd eye third PL star after Matheus Cunha medical and striker green light

Manchester United is ready for a busy window in the summer transfer, in which boss Ruben Amorim now sets his sights on a third Premier League star with Deals for Matheus Cunha and Liam Delap Close

Manchester United has chosen Crystal Palace's FA Cup -hero Ebereechi Eze as their next summer goal. The Red Devils are already locking up with Wolves star Matheus Cunha and Ipswich Town Striker Liam Delap.

Baas Ruben Amorim is desperate to stimulate his team after a terrible season. United finished 15th in the Premier League and did not succeed in winning a big trophy, so they will not play in Europe next year.

Amorim won only seven of the 27 top matches that he took the lead after replacing Erik ten Hag. The 40-year-old is set to overhaul his options this summer and has chosen an attack as the most urgent need.

United scored only 44 goals in their 38 Premier League matches, a lower amount than all except four other teams. They hope that Delap can solve their problems in advance, while Cunha will come in as one of the No. 10s playing behind him.

But Amorim would like to bring in another attacking midfielder to further improve his options. It seems that he landed on Eze, who scored the winning goal of Palace in their FA Cup -final victory over Manchester City.

According to ESPN, United are 'interested' in Eze, together with Bryan Mbeumo van Brentford. That comes with the 'Framework' for a £ 30 million movement for Delap that has been agreed.

United has also activated the release clause of £ 62.5 million in Cunha's contract, where the Brazilian is now set for a medical one. Eze's contract expires in the summer of 2027, so that United may offer the possibility to agree a deal.

The International of England scored 14 goals and made 11 assists this season. Eze expressed his joy about winning his first major trophy after the defeat of City in Wembley.

“This is a special man. I don't even know what to say man … To be honest I am just grateful man! Thank goodness, only God could do this because we have come here three times, confronted with a team that has been the best team in the world for how long,” he said.

“I just couldn't breathe a man, I couldn't breathe, they keep the ball so good, you have to work so hard to get something from them – but we also know that if you get there in their box, you have to take the chance, you have to let it count.”

However, United Boss Amorim has admitted that they may find it difficult to do business this summer. Failure to qualify for European football will limit their ability to pay large amounts.

“We have a plan that should bring [in] Some new players. Our big plan is to improve the team that we have and to improve the academy, because that is our future, as it was in the past, “said the Red Devil's boss.

“It's not going to change that. We have financial fair play rules, so we can't do much this summer. The most important thing is to stay together.

“We are going to struggle and it won't be everything right away. I feel that the team is improving and that is the most important thing.”
