Man Utd fans launch foul-mouthed protest at Sir Jim Ratcliffe and call him a ‘c***’ over ticket price decision

MANCHESTER UNITED fans branded co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe a “c***” as they protested against a rise in ticket prices.

Red Devils bosses have increased ticket prices at Old Trafford to a whopping £66 per match.

They have also abolished concessions for children and pensioners.

Supporters of Man Utd, Everton, Liverpool and Man City gathered on Sunday to protest against rising ticket prices in the Premier League at Anfield and Old Trafford.

The movement is part of a campaign by the Football Supporters Association.

And it was the Red Devils fans who were seen holding a banner reading “#StopExploitingLoyalty” ahead of their 4-0 win over Everton.

The same banner was also seen in the ground during the win over Everton – new manager Ruben Amorim's second win from three games in charge.

While the protest outside the stadium also included another banner reading: “Local boy Sir Jim charges £66 for OAPs + Juniors. Stop exploiting loyalty.”

And a video on social media showed Man Utd fans chanting: “Just like the Glazers, Ratcliffe's ac***.”

Reacting to the clip, one supporter replied: “Huge respect.”

While another said: “Fair play, and they're right.”

And a third simply said: 'Why are they? [Man Utd] charge more?”

A spokesperson for Man Utd fan group FC58 told The Mail: “The rivalry between these four clubs was and is fierce.

“But we all go to matches, love our club and want to keep football affordable for future generations, while protecting heritage and communities.

“The only way we can achieve this is through collaboration. This is our first step. This movement will grow.”

Man Utd's Supporters' Trust have also criticized the decision to increase ticket prices.

Ratcliffe has cut costs in many different areas since taking charge of Man Utd's football operations.

He let go of 250 employees, stopped paying Sir Alex Ferguson's £2million-a-year ambassadorial salary, canceled the Christmas party and axed company credit cards and private drivers.

He has also abolished staff lunches, accommodation, extra tickets and post-match parties.

Ratcliffe also pulled the trigger on Erik ten Hag in October, sacking him after Man Utd's worst ever start to a Premier League season.

Ex-Sporting Lisbon boss Amorim, 39, has arrived having taken seven points from his first three games.
