Pep Guardiola does a Jose Mourinho with gesture to Liverpool crowd as fans convinced Man City boss has ‘lost his mind’

PEP GUARDIOLA made a Jose Mourinho-like gesture after being taunted by the Anfield faithful.

Liverpool dominated Manchester City and after Mo Salah put them 2-0 ahead, the fans decided to have some fun with the City boss.

Supporters poked fun at Guardiola and joked that he would be 'fired tomorrow morning' after City's terrible performance.

The champions have lost six of their last seven games and the pressure appears to be on Guardiola.

He injured himself after City threw away a 3-0 lead against Feyenoord at home and was left injured and bloodied.

And in response to the taunts from the Liverpool crowd, he raised his hands to show six fingers – one for each Premier League title he has won in Manchester.

“All stadiums want to fire me, it started in Brighton,” Guardiola told Sky Sports.

'Maybe they are right with the results we have achieved.

“I didn't expect that at Anfield. They didn't do that at 1-0, but at 2-0. Maybe they should have sung it earlier.”

“I didn't expect it from the people of Liverpool, but it's fine, it's part of the game and I completely understand it.

“We've had incredible fights together. I respect them.”

It was a scene reminiscent of the time Mourinho reminded the press how many titles he had won while in charge of Manchester United.

Fans mocked Guardiola and some linked it to Mourinho, who made a similar gesture to Chelsea fans when they mocked him during a match in 2017.

One said: “Same thing Mourinho did. What a completed coach.”

Another said: “Tears, he's gone crazy 😭😭😭”

A third wrote: “It's over for Pep Guardiola. He gets fucking confused😂”

And another captioned a photo of Guardiola holding up six fingers, saying: “Pep… How many games has it been since you won?”

Guardiola made the same gesture at full-time as he and his players went to the traveling fans to thank them for their support.
