Manchester United has a group of four players they want to sell in the summer transfer window after being banned by Ruben Amorim prior to the pre-season Tour
The hope of Manchester United to sell Antony this summer is stimulated in the midst of reported interest from Saudi Arabia. Antony is part of the so -called 'bomb squad' in United, which is frozen from the first team setup of Ruben Amorim, who is desperate to discharge him.
This summer, United has signed Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo for a combined total of £ 133.5 million and knows they have to sell players to balance the books. Marcus Rashford was sent on loan to Barcelona, which covered his wages, but Antony remains together with Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho and Tyrell Malacia.
Amorim has started to Chicago to start the Pre-season pre-season Tour without the banned foursome, which is told to look for new clubs. Antony spent the second half of last season on loan at Real Betis and had hoped to move permanently to Sevilla.
The Brazilian winger got nine goals and five assists in 26 games for Betis last season, revived his career and earn many new fans. Betis wants to sign him again for the 2025/26 season, but wants a different loan instead of a permanent deal.
United has various ideas and are looking for a club that will sign Antony, which cost £ 85 million from Ajax in 2022. They have received some interest from Atletico Madrid, but the Spanish side has not yet followed it.
Nevertheless, a new road can be open, with Sky Sports reporting that two non -mentioned Saudi -Arab parties are considering a movement for Antony. Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich are also in the picture, but all clubs are tired of the costs involved in a deal.
It is, however, that Antony would rather stay in the top competitions of Europe, instead of moving to the middle -east. Erik ten Hag-de Man who supervised his best form at Ajax and has authorized his large money movement to United now has the leadership of Leverkusen, but he has gone from a transfer.
“He has high quality,” he recently told Bild. “I signed him twice. He was like a son for me, he is still a son for me. We are not currently interested in him, but we will see what will happen in the future.”
Antony has only returned 12 goals and five assists in 96 games for United and is a large drain on resources. He earns £ 200,000 a week in Old Trafford, where he is under contract until June 2027.
After a miserable time at United, he loved his Stint at Betis, which he helped reach the final of the Conference League. “Yes, I am very happy. I was,” he said at the time. “I had to find myself and be happy. My family also had to be happy. Every day confirms that it was the best decision and as you said, I enjoy the city and the club every day.”
