Man Utd identify No.1 summer transfer target – but could line Man City’s pockets

Manchester United wants to sign a striker in the transfer window and that can still benefit Manchester City, such as Ruben Amorim's silk Ippswich Town star Liam Delap in the summer

Manchester United has made Ipswich Town -Spits Liam Delap from their number 1 target prior to the summer transfer window. The Premier League striker has become the primary selection of the club after he initially held a shortlist with Victor Gyokeres, Benjamin Sesko, Victor Osimhen and Hugo Ekiteke.

Delap has 12 goals in the 30 Premier League performances for the Tractor Boys won this term, while they want to prevent relegation. If the Kieran McKenna side is unable to prevent the decrease in the championship, they are currently 12 points of safety, Delap would be available for £ 40 million.

The Red Devils have made Delap their first choice option, even though they have seen them to increase the treasury of Cross-Town Rivals Manchester City, according to reports. After binding Erling Haaland to a long-term deal, it seems unlikely that the side of Pep Guardiola will determine a back-back clause of £ 40 million, but it is said that they are entitled to 20 percent of the sale of Delap.

The striker arrived at Ipswich from Manchester City last summer in a £ 20 million deal. The 22-year-old has continued to build his reputation and is besides United linked to Chelsea.

United Baas Ruben Amorim has admitted that he is planning to bring in important players this summer, because he was only able to see the arrival of Patrick Dorgu and Ayden Heavan in January. The struggles of the club for the goal this period will see them a striker to succeed, where Ramus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee struggled.

“But I just want to concentrate on our strengths and bring in one or two players – big players,” Amorim said last week. “We have to concentrate and we do all the things that are so much better next season.

“In my opinion, I can't” make up for this thing in four years. “We have to be so much better now. This is a huge club. The focus must be how we can improve our team in every aspect. The Premier League is so difficult.”

Delap has since remained cautious about his future. The International Under-21 of England has suggested that his focus remains simply on the performance for Ipswich and is very happy at the club.

He said to East Anglian Daily Times: “I am so happy here, I enjoy it here. I just look forward to playing football. I take every game as it comes and concentrate on the next one.

“It [the media speculation] Is something I try to stay away. People around me have told me to stay away, it is something I am very good at, focused on what I want to do. That is playing football here.

“I really enjoy my time here and I enjoy playing every week. That is the most important thing. As players and people there is noise. If we have a bad game and people are suffering because we do not get the right results or get the right results, we will continue to focus on ourselves and what we have to achieve.”
