Manchester United has joined the race to sign a new center-back less than a year after a shy of £ 100 million to strengthen the position. The Red Devils paid £ 52 million to bring in Leny Yoro before he signed Matthijs de Ligt for £ 42.9 million under former manager Erik ten Hag.

According to Turkish Outlet Fanatik, United likes to be on the 6ft 4in Center-back, which Tottenham recently sent scouts to look at. The Premier League pair has become a member of Bayern Munich, Napoli, Atletico Madrid and RB Leipzig when registering their interest.
But Fenerbahce plans to keep Akcicek, with the Super Lig Giants in advanced negotiations on a long -term contract, probably after 2030. If an offer were to be presented large enough, Fenerbahce Chiefs would be open to conversations.
What makes Akcicek attractive for United is that it has left-hand foot. Currently, the injured Martinez and Heaven are the only left -wing backs in Amorim's team.

Akcicek would probably cost much less than Everton star Jarrad Branthwaite, who had rejected the Red Devils two bids for last year. What is more is that Mourinho compared his teenage sensation with ex-real Madrid and United Center-Back Raphael Varane after an impressive display during Fenerbahce's recent 0-0 draw with Galatasaray.
