Man Utd join Saudi Pro League outfit ‘in the race’ for old transfer target

Manchester United has previously been associated with PSG -midfielder Fabian Ruiz and it has now been claimed that the Red Devils make the signature of the Spaniard trip again

It is said that Manchester United has again fueled their interest in Fabian Ruiz after they originally tried to sign the Paris Saint-Germain star in the summer of 2022.

The Spain International, 29, became the subject of importance of United when they wanted to renew their engine room after they could not have lure Frenkie de Jong to Old Trafford. Ruiz, however, came to PSG from Napoli, instead of moving to Manchester.

The Red Devils signed Casemiro from Real Madrid and shot the interest in De Jong, who is still in the books in Barcelona.

But a new report from France claims that Ruiz is back on the Radar of United, because they are trying to reform a besieged team responsible for the worst Premier League finish of the club last season.

FootmerCato claims that Al-Nassr of the Saudi Pro League would also like to sign the idea to sign Ruiz, which was contracted until 2027.

Unfortunately for the other lovers of United and Ruiz adds the report that PSG – and in particular Luis Enrique – appreciates the Maestro of midfield as a key figure in the team that explicitly won the Champions League last month.

They prefer 'continuity' in the engine room with Ruiz who instructs a neat understanding with Joao Neves and Vitinha.

United wants to add quality components in their bid to rebuild under Ruben Amorim and have already captured Matheus Cunha from Wolves, with Bryan Mbeumo van Brentford to follow him through the door.

Further signing sessions are expected, although expenditure is required if Amorim must have the flexibility he wants on the transfer market after United was not eligible for the Champions League in the past term.

It is said that United likes to bring Ruiz to Amorim's team. He has won three consecutive French titles since he exchanged Naples for Paris and has 39 international caps to his name for Spain, with whom he won Euro 2024.

United is also linked to a new keeper after another mixed season for Andre Onana. Since then, however, it has been reported that the Cameroon star is planning to stay and fight for his place in Old Trafford.
