Alejandro Garnacho is looking for a way out from Manchester United and has made it clear to the club that he wants to become a member of Chelsea and do not entertain any other transfers
Alejandro Garnacho has told Manchester United that he only wants to become a member of Chelsea with the Argentinian who agrees with conditions above a deal on Stamford Bridge until 2032.
The wing player fell out of grace at Old Trafford and is tipped to leave the entire summer. The interest of the blues dates from January when they consider a move and Garnacho is not going to accept another offer.
He sees West -London as the best place to restore his career after he was previously seen as a future star on the red side of Manchester. Givemesport reports that a reunion with Erik ten Hag in Bayer Leverkusen and a lucrative switch to Saudi Arabia were also options that were brought to him.
Napoli has even housed their interest, but Garnacho has no plans to get to someone else than Chelsea. The 21-year-old is so determined to ensure a switch to the blues that he will avoid any other avenue and spend a year on the sidelines in Manchester if that is what is needed.
Chelsea hopes to close a deal for about £ 30 million, but that is about £ 20 million shy for what United hoped to earn back for their player. The blues had put forward different swap proposals, including Nicolas Jackson, but there is no interest.
Christopher Nunku is another player who has offered Chelsea the Red Devils. Axel Disasi and Renato Veiga were also put on the table, but United made it clear that they want cash in their team investing again – no players.
The last term Garnacho scored 11 times – the best total of his career – but had to do with a positional switch in the middle season where Ruben Amorim tried to use it as a wingback. Come on the end of the season and the Argentinian was on the bank for the Europa League final – reacting angry on social media.
He is one of a number of big names – including Jadon Sancho and Antony – who do not yet have to secure movements of Manchester over time. Amorim has admitted that players who are not sold are bought back in the fold.
The Portuguese boss said: “I understand that the clubs are waiting at the last minute, but they can have a surprise. I am ready to receive the players, they have more competition, more competition if you want to play in the World Cup next year, so you have to play.”
