Manchester United wants Ruben Amorim to lead the team out in their new £ 2 billion stadium.
In recent weeks, Amorim has doubted his long -term future, after a difficult start of his united term of office, with the team in 14th place in the Premier League. “We would like to open the new stadium with Ruben as our coach,” said Barkrada. “I think it is risky if you have a coach who has no clear idea of how he wants to play – and with Ruben we don't see that risk.
“When it comes to our recruitment strategy, the idea that we have to be able to bring in versatile players who can adapt to multiple systems.
“Ruben himself said it, it's not about the 3-4-3 tactical formation, it's about an idea, a concept of how he wants to see the team play. He wants to see the team play more on the front foot, more a possession, on attacking -based football style.
“That is why you need players who can play in multiple positions and can adapt to the vision that Ruben has. This is what we will do with our recruitment in the coming years. “
Berrada admitted that United's recruitment will be made easier this summer if they can win the Europa League and secure a Champions League spot for next season.
“There is no doubt that if we are eligible for the Champions League, we will have more income and we will have more capacity to invest in the team,” Berrada said.
“But we are taking various financial measures to enable ourselves to invest in the summer, even when we are outside of Europe.
“Ultimately, we want to be more efficient in our investment in the team. So only because we have more income to invest when we are in the Champions League, this does not mean that we go and invest too much.
“We have to be careful and we have to try to make as many good decisions as we can with recruitment. When it comes to sale, we will also do it purely based on whether it helps to improve the team, not for financial reasons. “
