Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has made it completely clear that he does not believe that Marcus Rashford will be part of his side for the time being, after he has confirmed that he does not want the English international near his side. The 27-year-old has been associated with a movement elsewhere, but so far United still has to receive an offer.
Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan have shown interest in Rashford, but Barcelona is considered his favorite choice for a loan movement until the end of the season. After Rashford had returned to the training last week, it seemed that he could eventually stay in Manchester United.
After a 1-0 win over Fulham, however, Amorim made it completely clear that he was not looking for Rashford.
“It is always the same reason – the training, the way I see a football player in life. It is every day, every detail. If things don't change, I won't change. It is the same situation for every player, if you do the maximum and the right things, we can use each player, “he told the BBC.
“You can see on the couch, we miss a little pace on the couch, but I would say [Manchester United goalkeeper coach Jorge] Vital for a player who does not give the maximum every day. I will not change in that department. “
Barcelona has to free up at least € 6 million in their salary limit before they can make a loan move for Rashford, but none of the previously advertised candidates to leave, Eric Garcia and Ansu Fati, look like they will do that. However, a possible step for Teenage Starlet Unai Hernandez to Saudi Aarabia could get them close to the necessary money to do the deal, which means that Rashford would pay Rashford's wage for the rest of the season. Given the comments of Amorim, however, United and/or the player may be willing to make a compromise.
