Man Utd outcast ‘makes mind up’ on transfer after brutal Sir Jim Ratcliffe blast

It is said that Antony is 'desperate' to end his scorching enchantment at Manchester United and his loan with real betis permanent.

The Brazilian winger, 25, joined the Red Devils for Big-Money back in the summer of 2022 after he had an impression under Erik ten Hag in Ajax, but became the last in a long line of players who did not live up to expectations in the club.

While Antony's struggle in Old Trafford is well documented, he has found a new life of life with Real Betis, who had the attacker on loan in January.

He has registered four goals and another four assists in just 10 games in Spain – and the La Liga -Outfit is already exploring ways to keep him on this season.

According to the sun, Antony is also planning to stay in Spain. They claim that sources near the player have indicated that he is desperate to stay with Real Betis, while Real Sociedad is now also traveling.

Given the gloomy financial situation of Manchester United, the club would probably entertain serious proposals for Antony, although they will almost guarantee a huge loss on the amount of £ 82 million with which they said goodbye to sign the player only two and a half years ago.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe confirmed that Antony was one of the players who would still pay United before this summer because of the structure of the deal that had previously agreed with Ajax.

The Ineos chef included Antony while he discussed a pool of “inherited” players, whom he claimed that he went further “not good enough” and “too much paid”.

“If you look at the players we buy this summer, we didn't buy, we buy Antony, we buy Casemiro, we buy Onana, we buy Hojlund, we buy Sancho,” Ratcliffe told the BBC.

“These are all things from the past, whether we like it or not, we have inherited those things and have to figure it out. For Sancho, who now plays for Chelsea and we pay half of his wages, we pay £ 17 million to buy it in the summer.

“Some are not good enough and some are probably paid too much. But for us to form the team for which we are fully responsible and responsible, we will take time. We have this period of transformation where we will go from the past to the future.”
