Then Gore is seen for many years as a promising talent at Manchester United, but is still waiting for his big breakthrough at Old Trafford. For the time being he has a second chance to impress Rotherham after he has been on loan again
The young person of Manchester United Dan Gore has returned to Rotherham on loan for the 2025-26 campaign after his enchantment with the Millers was demolished last season due to an injury.
GORE – who is known for having a failure with Anthony Martial during the training – initially came to Rotherham in January, but only played a total of three games in all competitions before they ran a foot fracture in the training.
The 20-year-old has long been reserved as an excellent young person who could make his first team breakthrough at Old Trafford, but the midfielder has not yet had his moment and hope to impress Rotherham in the coming season.
In a statement United said: “Dan Gore has completed a second consecutive loan movement to Rotherham United and will spend the 2025/26 season with the Millers.
“In January he came to Rotherham for the first time and made three performances when the South Yorkshire side finished 13th in League One. He now hopes to build on that in his second spell in the New York Stadium. Good luck, then!”
Gore reportedly had a row in training with Martial in 2022 after he was invited to participate in a session from former manager Erik ten Hag.
The midfielder hoped to catch the eye during a training session, while the rest of his united teammates were on the World Cup 2022, but would have clattered Martial during a strong challenge.
It is claimed that tempers over it cooked between the couple, which were pulled apart, with heavy tackles on established first team stars prohibited in the training. Reporting Martial reportedly apologized at Gore and the dispute was destroyed.
Gore will hope for more happiness at Rotherham after his freak injury, who was surprised by manager Steve Evans after players received light training regimes.
Evans said at the time: “He worked for two days in the team and went home from the training on Friday and felt good. I got a phone call from the medical staff to say he had woke up with his foot really painful.
“It is incredible. We have not done enough to have a painful nose, let alone a painful foot. Until I hear more from the medical staff about how it happened and why it happened, then it is … maybe God will tell me when I go to sleep tonight.”
“The child trained very well and felt nothing. He would play a major role for us and when he, after he went home, he was the head of the medical and said he felt his foot.
“Nobody has been destroyed more than me. I worked very hard to get him here. He had three clubs above us in League One who wanted to, but he chose us because of the football that I convinced him that he would get.”
