Manchester United could not win their last derby of the season with a 0-0 draw at home at Man City.
The men of Ruben Amorim sniffed and puffed, but ultimately could not find the goal of Old Trafford.
The result leaves them 13th in the table, a point above Tottenham.
But United are also four from 12th place Brentford and seven of the upper half.
And all hope for European football will now rest on their chances in the Europa League.
So who had a good game in the Theater of Dreams today?
And did anyone have to forget a game?
Here Sunssport's Ken Lawrence supplies his husband United Player Reviews …
Andre Onana – 5
There are always more questions than answers about the shape of the Kameroenian keeper, but this was a calmer display from him.
On erratic or not, he responded well to add a Casemiro header from a city corner that seemed bound to his own network.

His shot – to stop, even if he was not dealing with something that challenging that challenging a mainly tame city attack minus Erling Haaland, was neat and decisive.
But a rescue from Omar Marmoush was Pure Showboating.
Noussair Mazraoui – 6
Reliable, flexible, not brilliant but certainly never bad and playing as a right -wing defender produced a great tackle to deny Phil Foden.
The majority of the game spent the responsibility for monitoring the dangerous Omar Marmoush and made a pretty good fist.
His strengths – why he was bought – are more like a wing back because he has a little pace and intelligence, but had no chance to show those qualities.
Harry Maguire – 5
Sometimes he seems to be getting slower than a super tanker, but he does like a tackle – as the Belter denied that Omar Marmoush early.
Perhaps his biggest problem is that he is not a central defender of football – his weight of passing can be just as unpredictable as the intended direction and he had a lot of the ball in this.
Victor Lindelof asked Victor Lindelof in the beginning of the second half that clearly suffers from a bat and with eyes on the Europa League visit to Lyon.
Leny Yoro – 6
It started to show that he could be an inspired purchase after he had settled after his £ 52.2 million summer arrival from Lille.
The French international, remember, is still only 19, but he quickly learns in a much more furious and competitive environment than Ligue 1.
Long -term Ruben Amorim will certainly have him in mind if the central figure in his back three next to Lisandro Martinez and Matthijs de Ligt.
Diogo Dalot – 6
Loves the challenge that Ruben Amorim starts as part of the 3-4-3 system that looked like a tactical foreign language on a good number in the team
At a very difficult younger in Nico O'Reilly, he had it hard to comprehend, but his much greater experience began to tell.
Take a number of really aggressive positions when United had the ball and his deliveries of broad law caused a few problems.
Casemiro – 4
The 33-year-old has looked more spreading lately, but again he sometimes looked like a pensioner.
His death of deep was loose and often let the people around him fall into brown things, while his relationship with Manuel Ugarte next to him was almost non -existent.
Almost certainly on the way to Old Trafford – certainly from the most important choices of the manager – next season, although he still has two years of his £ 350,000 a week to walk.
Manuel Ugarte – 4
The last ex-Boss Erik ten Hag's buys at £ 42.1 million from Paris Saint-Germain and it still takes time to find his feet.
In fact, the feet of the Uruguayan were simply not fast enough to cope with the fast transitions that his manager demands from his two central midfielders.
Even in a deep non -inspiring meeting that had to be a local derby, but did not miss a fire, he had difficulty having some impact.
Patrick Dorgu – 5
Is not exactly Danish dynamite since his £ 25 million switch from Lecce and the 20 -year -old has still learned to do a lot.
Nevertheless, the wing certainly gives United a physical presence on the left, although it has to calm down when his overlaps shoot him with opportunities.
An attempt, especially halfway through the first half, was the fourth division. Young or not, inexperienced or not, he must increase his play
Bruno Fernandes – 8
Captain Marmite from United was named Premier League player of the month before March just before Kick – Off.
He was also a player of this match, where he never stopped working, even if he hadn't had much to beat in a boring, boring affair
Often his vision is simply too refined for some teammates who will never be able to string the boots from a player who, as usual, covered every blade of grass.
Rasmus Hojlund – 3
Took him 21 games to collect his eighth goal of the season for United, quickly followed by a for Denmark, but in last week's 1-0 defeat in Nottingham Forest looked just as lost as always.
As he did here again, although his turn and film to send Alejandro Garnaacho at the beginning, the real center ahead showed consciousness.
But the story remains the same for the £ 72 million striker who may not have set that prize but will probably never deliver.
Alejandro Garnacho – 7
At a certain moment he will certainly get more calmness – when he has to shoot and when he has to pass to teammates – placed.
As crazy as the 20 -year -old can be, he has pace and aggression and was brought down just after 30 seconds by the desperate challenge of Ruben Dias on the outskirts of the city box.
Walked all the way to the opposition defense and an excellent strike just wide – a constant threat that can sometimes frustrate, but still gets Stretford -end bolts from seats.
Subs:
Victor Lindelof (for Maguire 58) – 6
Understanding that he was on the road this summer, but looked decent.
Joshua Zirkzee (for Hojlund 71) – 5
It is a great salvation from Or Nomouwon and still has the support of fans.
Mason Mount (for Ugarte 71) – 5
Now win fitness and be able to come as a starter in Lyon on Thursday.
