MANCHESTER UNITED failed to impress as they were swept away by Bournemouth at Old Trafford.
Dean Huijsen headed the visitors into the lead after escaping marker Joshua Zirkzee in the 28th minute.
Noussair Mazraoui was then fouled in the 60th minute when he gave away a reckless penalty after a foul on Justin Kluivert.
The Dutchman converted from the spot to double the visitor's lead.
Antoine Semenyo made it 3-0 two minutes later when he finished off a great move by the Cherries.
Bruno Fernandes was one player who managed to show quality, while Tyrell Malacia continued to battle for the Red Devils.

Unsteadiness on the ball and his nervousness at holding the ball for too long were conveyed to the United supporters.
Bad conditions for a goalkeeper, but there were also some uncertain moments when he needed two attempts to grab long shots.

Harry Maguire-4
Too often he was second on the ball or simply failed to get to his man, with Evanilson too elusive for the United defender to chain.
Ruben Amorim believes Maguire is perfect for his three-back setup, but the jury is still out on that.
Lisandro Martínez – 5
Stood on as Semenyo slotted home Bournemouth's third goal, the latest in a long line of United defensive embarrassments.
It seems like he, like most of his defensive teammates, is struggling with the new system, unable to even execute the basics.

Made some good blocks and tried to get involved in attacking moments from full-back, without making a huge impact.
However, on a day when United's defense once again fell short, he was not the biggest culprit.

Booked for a cynical foul on Kluivert and had trouble with Bournemouth runners too often.
Much of the match passed him by and lasted less than an hour as United chased the match.

Like most of his team, he was guilty of a number of unforced errors, but his work rate and drive were unremarkable.
Created a great chance when he cleared Dean Huijsen and set up Bruno Fernandes, but conceded for Bournemouth's third.

The terrible touch early on drew groans from the home fans, the first of several sloppy moments from the fit-again full-back.
Predictably, he gave away the free-kick from which the visitors opened the scoring and were hooked at half-time.

The big winner of the Rashford controversy could have set Old Trafford on fire early on, but placed a good chance straight at the keeper.
Not a performance on par with his derby exploits, but it still looked United's best hope of scoring a goal.

These days he plays higher and wider up the field and perhaps there is a debate as to whether that is the best use of his undoubted talents.
But in the last five minutes of the first half alone he had three good chances that could have resulted in an equalizer.

Given the nod for Rasmus Hojlund, reward for some decent recent performances under his new manager, but this wasn't one of them.
Red was closest to Dean Huijsen when he headed Bournemouth ahead, although United's defense was such a shambles it was not clear whether he was Zirkzee's responsibility.
