Manchester United looks at a dive for a young person who has earned comparisons with Manchester City star Erling Haaland. United belongs to a number of clubs that are reportedly interested in 18-year-old Oghenetejiri Adejenughure.

Adejenughure has been a productive goal scorer in youth football and is currently enjoying his first taste of senior action at FC Lieger in the second layer of Austrian football.

Strangers are the reserve team of Red Bull Salzburg and AdejenugHure has also continued to represent Salzburg's Under-19S in the UEFA Youth League.

The attacker was recently invited to train with the Senior Setup of Austria by manager Ralf Rangnick and the Daily Star report that United Scouts sent to see him in action this season.

AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund would also be interested in Adejenughure, but United hopes to learn from their mistakes with Haaland and to sign the teenager for a 'low fee' and help him to fulfill his potential at Old Trafford.

United had the option to sign Haaland before he became one of the best players in the world, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer first recommending him to the club for the first time when the striker was a teenage perspective at Moldde.

Solskjaer coached Haaland at the time and he would have been available for only £ 4 million, but United decided not to make a move. “I called United about six months before I took over and told them I had this striker we had, but they didn't listen,” Solskjaer told the sun in 2023.

“I asked £ 4 million for Haaland, but they did not sign him.” After Solskjaer Jose Mourinho had replaced Old Trafford in Old Trafford in 2018, he told the club again to sign Haaland.

The striker had agreed to become a member of Red Bull Salzburg earlier that year, but had a release clause in his contract worth around £ 17 million. “Erling was two seasons at Molde, more or less,” Solskjaer said earlier this month on the stick to football podcast.

“The summer before I came, I called the club and said,” You have to sign this boy, he's absolutely top class. ” That was in June or July and they said they didn't have enough reports.

'By the time I entered as a caretaker, we [Molde] Had sold him to Salzburg. I immediately tell the club: “Buy it.” He had a release clause. No one but that money would have paid.

“It was 20 million euros and it would have been a bargain. It was the club's decision not to go for him then. We didn't go for him until he started scoring for Salzburg, but then Dortmund, Juventus, everyone was there.”
