Man Utd propose blockbuster Victor Osimhen swap transfer as Amorim gets ruthless

Manchester United is considering doing a summer offer for Victor Osimhen.

The Red Devils have struggled for the goal this season, with only 33 goals in 27 Premier League trips, and Ruben Amorim would have been frustrated by his options. The Portuguese coach even chose to start a match without Rasmus Hojlund or Joshua Zirkzee earlier this season.

That seems to be leaving United on the market for new striker in the summer and Osimhen seems to be on their shortlist. The club would be willing to use one of their players as a brand weight in the deal.

While Napoli bid at Alejandro Garnacho Bid during the winter window, the Red Devils are willing to offer Hojlund and £ 33 million to close a deal for Osimhen, per calciomercato. The Serie A -side wanted to unload the Nigeria International last summer after signing Romelu Lukaku, but could only facilitate a loan of Galatasaray.

The future of Osimhen remains uncertain and the 26-year-old has remained cautious about what could be lying. Chelsea and Arsenal are previously linked to the player.

“To be honest, I don't know,” said Osimhen. “You know that in recent months I never thought I would come here, I never believed that I would come to Galatasaray, despite how big they are.

“I am living for the time being. I don't know what will happen in the summer, but I want everyone to understand that I really love this club.

Landing Hojlund can also be tempting for Napoli. The side of Antonio Conte, who signed Scott Mctominay from United last summer, was interested in a deal for the Denmark Vooruit before his move to the Premier League. The 22-year-old was impressed by the side while he was still playing for Atalanta, but Napoli saw a new coach and sports director coming at that time.

United can, however, hit a stumbling block. Last summer claims from La Repubblica saw that the club was already willing to offer cash plus Rasmus Hojlund for Osimhen, but conte's preference was to sign Lukaku. This can indicate that the Italian side does not feel the need to land ahead.

In the meantime, Osimhen remains a tempting proposition with 20 goals in 27 performances during the loan. The attacker is expected to leave Napoli and will have a release clause of release clause of € 75 million (£ 62 million).
