Man Utd star addresses £30m Dorgu transfer and sends Amorim message

Manchester United star Diogo Dalot is ready to combat incoming £ 30 million signing Patrick Dorgu for a place in Ruben Amorim's XI.

Dorgu, 20, is expected to become a member of United of Italian Zijlecce for an initial € 30 million (£ 25.15 million) plus € 5 million (£ 4.19 million) in add-ons. After he has been dropped on the couch for Lecce's collision with Parma in the Serie A on Friday evening, the move from Dorgu to Old Trafford must be completed well before the Transfer Deadline from Monday 11 p.m.

The Denmark International will arrive as a specialized left wingback, a role that Dalot had to fulfill during Amorim's first two months that are in charge. First choice left back Luke Shaw was injured, while his backup, Tyrell Malacia, has convinced his new boss.

But Dalot is not afraid of competition from Dorgu and sends a message to both him and Amorim after scoring a goal in the 2-0 victory of United Road to FSCB in the Europa League on Thursday. “It has been to this club all my life, which competes,” the Portuguese defender told the United Stand.

“Nobody comes to Manchester United thinking that there will be no competition for positions. That has always been my life in Manchester United. I feel pretty comfortable on both sides and, of course, when you start playing many games in the same position it starts To be even more comfortable.

“In general I am here to help. I think the club and the manager know all the profile of the player I am. I am ready to help the team, to be in my best possible form and as time Come, try giving my best “

Dalot has been criticized for his recent versions, where his teammates also have trouble getting a grip on the 3-4-3 formation of Amorim. The 25-year-old explained how a lack of time on the training field with Amorim was harmful, with United played 18 games in the room of two months.

“It is almost trained in games, I think that was the most difficult,” Dalot added. “It is clear that it is not the same because you always try to adapt as quickly as possible, because games are always different. But at the same time we play at this level, we play for a large club and have to adjust as soon as possible.

“We have improved, but of course it helps if you win games. That is the momentum that we want to keep. Another clean magazine, so I think it is important for the club.”
