
Victor Lindelof is supposed to take a step away from Manchester United this summer and calls time on his eight -year -old Stint at Old Trafford, according to reports.
The Sweden International first joined the club among the then manager Jose Mourinho in 2017 and made more than 270 performances for the Red Devils with four different head coaches.
But Lindelof's campaign 2024-25 was an uneven, with the defender a number of matches for both former manager Erik ten Hag and Ruben Amorim because of repeated injury.
Recently the 30-year-old was a second half replacement during the FA Cup collision of Man United with Fulham's home.
On Sunday, Lindelof – together with summer recruitment Joshua Zirkzee – saw one of the two players to miss the place when the draw went to the penalties.
The last domestic Cup-Hoop of United was then eradicated when the visitors claimed the quarterfinals on the road.
But according to the Portuguese Outlet record, Lindelof might be room on next season, and his future when his contract ends in June.
Lindelof is said to be considering a move back to Benfica, the club that he accompanied by Man United eight years ago, and wants to make a return to Estadio Da Luz in the summer.
Benfica -Manager Bruno Lage is supposed to be set up for a center that shakes in the club this summer, with the contract of Nicolas Otamendi and plans for the Argentinian to return to his home country.
New deals are also in the air for Tomas Arujo and Antonio Silva, which leads a gap in the manager's plans that can still be filled by the free agent.
At Old Trafford, Amorim is also considering his own clean -up, where the manager makes his plans for a team on Friday before the FA Cup -similar game.
Amorim described himself as 'ruthless' if the situation would ask for it, Bot was when he shared that he had been 'honest' with players he thinks he should continue when the season ends.
“Everyone understands that you sometimes stay in football, sometimes you have to continue,” said Amorim. 'If I know how to explain it, I will do this because I like to be clear.
'I was a player and I like to use that experience – if you are honest with someone, they can take it.
“In the beginning it might be difficult, but they will understand. I am honest with my players and sometimes they know that they have to continue at the end of the season.
'We can eventually talk about that – now there are still many games to play. But that is clear and not a difficult situation. '
The players of Lindelof and Amorim will tilt on silverware on Thursday in the first of their two Europa League tires.
Man United will travel to Spain for their first stage against Real Sociedad, before he welcomes La Real in Old Trafford on 13 March.
