Man Utd star’s wife sends message as Old Trafford exit officially confirmed

Manchester United has confirmed that Jonny Evans will leave the old Trafford after two spells in more than two decades and his wife Helen has written an emotional tribute to the Veteran Center-back

The wife Helen of Jonny Evans shared an emotional post after the veteran defender finally ended his long -term association with Manchester United after two spells. Evans said goodbye after their 2-0 win over Aston Villa to complete the season, after he clocked a total of 241 performances for the Red Devils.

Evans joined United as a ten -year -old and played 198 times in his first enchantment before he came to West Brom and later came to Leicester City. Eight years later he returns to United in a short -term deal in 2023 to strengthen the figures of the team in the preseason – but that became permanent after he had been impressed.

The 37-year-old met wife Helen during his first enchantment at United and the couple enjoyed some moving scenes with fans after the Villa competition, because they said goodbye to the club.

Helen celebrated the career performance of her partner since he met Evans in 2013, after he welcomed three children with the middle back before they praise United fans on their support.

“12 years later, 8 years of break in the middle and 3 children added to the team … Over and out!” Helen said in a social media post. “Best fans in the world.”

Evans leaves United with three Premier League titles, two competition cups, a FA Cup and the Champions League and goes down like a club legend.

He scored a total of eight times at United and has a career -total of 537 performances and 23 goals. On the international stage he earned 107 caps for Noord -Ireland.

He received an exciting reception from supporters when the club announcer greeted the trophies he had won with the Red Devils and was embraced by his teammates.

Evans is one of the three players who are planning to leave for free transfers, together with Christian Eriksen and Victor Lindelof as United to make radical changes this summer.

A united statement greeted Evans for “United with a distinction for more than a decade as a senior player, about two spells at the club”.

Prior to the villa, they said: “Manchester United has confirmed that Victor Lindelof, Jonny Evans and Christian Eriksen are leaving the club at the end of the season.

“Everyone at United thanks Victor, Jonny and Christian for their contributions during their time at Old Trafford, and wishes them good luck for the future. Each of them received a great ovation from the appreciative crowd on Sunday.”
