Man Utd transfer guru ‘flies to Naples for talks over shock Rasmus Hojlund swap’ in player-plus-cash deal

Allegedly, a Manchester United director flew to Naples earlier this week to discuss a potential Swap deal, including Rasmus Hojlund.

The Red Devils have endured a disastrous season 2024-25, both in the Premier League and in Europe.

They finished the campaign 15th in the Prem table with only 42 points.

United also suffered a loss of 1-0 for Tottenham in the Europa League final last week, which means that they will miss European football in the next term.

Club officials now want to discharge some players who have not met expectations throughout the season.

And it is believed that Hojlund runs the risk of the ax.

The 22-year-old this season has only scored 10 goals in 52 performances.

Head coach Ruben Amorim is therefore disappointed and could therefore punish his exit.

Italian outlet Il Napolista has claimed that Hojlund could be used as a part as a swap deal for Victor Osimhen.

Man Utd Transfer Chief Matt Hargreaves would have flown to Naples recently to talk to Napoli managers about a possible movement.

The Serie A champions is supposed to be the prospect to sign Hojlund.

And they would be willing to renounce Osimhen, who spent the 2024-25 season on loan in Galatasaray.

However, if United must push to sign the striker, they would probably have to say goodbye to Hojlund Plus an extra £ 33.7 million.

Hojlund joined the Red Devils in a transmission of £ 72 million from Atalanta two years ago, but his value has since plumbled because of his overwhelming form.

If he joined Napoli, he will join the former United favorite Scott McTominay, who has settled neatly in life in Naples since he left Old Trafford last summer.

In the meantime, United would get a striker who scored 36 goals and gave eight assists in 40 performances this season in Osimhen.

The Red Devils have been interested in the Nigeria International in the last three years.
