Man Utd transfer news: AC Milan in talks over deal for Rasmus Hojlund after Benjamin Sesko arrival

AC Milan is in conversation with Manchester United about the signing of striker Rasmus Hojlund.

Milan wants to conclude a loan agreement with an option to buy, but the preference of United is to do a permanent deal – or at least have a permanent element on each loan.

They would consider offers from around £ 40 million for the 22-year-old Denmark International.

Benjamin Sesko's £ 73.7 million arrival of RB Leipzig will probably limit Hojlund's playing time for United if he stays if he stays.

Hojlund was an unused replacement on Saturday in the president of the United States against Fiorentina, even though he was the only recognized striker in the team was the only first team that was not on the field.

Head coach Ruben Amorim chose to play Mason Mount as a fake No. 9 and then told Mutv: “We struggled without a reference as a striker. We have a new player, so we will see.”

Hojlund wants to stay and fight for his place, but it is now clear that he has joined Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia while players want United.

Hojlund initially came to Manchester United from Atalanta for £ 72 million in August 2023.

Man utd Sign Sesko for £ 73.7 million

Sesko was formally presented to Man Utd supporters on Saturday, prior to the 1-1 friendly draw of the club with Fiorentina.

The striker was unveiled before the kick -off but not available to play.

The 22-year-old has signed a five-year contract with Old Trafford, in which Man Utd pays an initial £ 66.26 million (€ 76.5 million) with £ 7.36 million (€ 8.5 million) in performance-related add-ons.

Sesko is the third attacker to arrive in Old Trafford this summer after Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, who cost a combined £ 207.2 million.
