Manchester United is still locked up in conversations with Brentford about the signing of winger Bryan Mbeumo, but reportedly have closed another deal for a midfielder
Manchester United remains busy in the summer transfer window, where Ruben Amorim's overhaul is required by Ruben Amorim.
United knows that major changes are needed if they have to climb the Premier League table in the coming campaign after a miserable season 2024/25. They have already signed Matheus Cunha from Wolves and Diego Leon, but want much more deals.
The club is working on the sale of Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Tyrell Malacia, Antony, Alejandro Garnacho and more. They know that departure will be the key if they want to give Amorim a chance to turn things around.
But the back room staff also continue to pursue new signing sessions in a competitive market. The lack of European football in Old Trafford next season hinders things, but a few newcomers can be nearby, according to the latest reports.
Mbeumo interviews will continue
Manchester United's pursuit of Brentford attacker Bryan Mbeumo has been going on for a while, but they still have to make the breakthrough. Nevertheless, the deal is still expected – it takes a while.
Brentford understandably plays hard ball about the transfer costs after the excellent 2024/25 campaign from Mbeumo, in which he achieved 20 Premier League objectives, and United remains locked up in conversations. Elsewhere there is a bolt of the blue with the Italian outlet calciomercato that reports that United close to the signing of Valencia midfielder Javi Guerra. AC Milan has shown interest in the 22-year-old, but United has apparently stolen a march.
Milan was an offer of between € 25 million and € 30 million (£ 21 million £ 25 million), while Mundo Deportivo Atletico Madrid and Aston Villa has credited with an interest in Guerra. He has two years left on his contract with Valencia, where he has eight goals and four assists in 89 games so far.
Greenwood Cash Boost

Greenwood performed well for Marseille last year and scored 21 Ligue 1 goals and Juventus and Barcelona are coupled with a movement for the ex-sizing striker. Reports in Spain say that Al-Ahli has now started and has brought an offer of € 70 million (£ 60 million) to the table.
That can be good news for United, who has a 50 percent clause. Greenwood is under contract with Marseille until June 2029.
