The clock is ticking before Manchester United may close a deal for a new striker.
With just two weeks of the January transfer window remaining, they have already seen a move for Randal Kolo Muani fall through. The Paris Saint-Germain star looks set to join Juventus.
That could force the Red Devils to look elsewhere, with ties with Sporting Lisbon frontman Viktor Gyokeres remaining. Any addition would be useful as a few strikers could leave Old Trafford in the coming days.
Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho are among those linked with departures – the former linked with AC Milan. Check out the latest news and rumors below:
Argentina forward Alejandro Garnacho has been linked with a move to Napoli. The Italian side are currently looking for a new striker as Khvicha Kvaratskhelia approaches a move to PSG.
And now it has been revealed what would see him leave United. According to La Repubblica via Area Napoli, the Red Devils would be happy to accept a loan deal for Garnacho, with a purchase obligation of around 40 to 50 million euros.
It is also suggested that he would be interested in signing for Napoli this month. The 21-year-old forward has made 30 appearances for United this season, scoring eight goals. He is under contract until 2028.
One striker who could join the club in the near future is Gyokeres. The Swede has been continuously linked since boss Ruben Amorim made the same move earlier this season.
But they have now been given a significant boost in their pursuit of the striker. According to Sky Sports Germany, Bayern Munich has found an alternative for Gyokeres.
It was previously suggested that the Bundesliga giants were interested in the United target, but they are now eyeing Chelsea star Christopher Nkunku instead. The Blues have made an inquiry for Mathys Tel so that a deal can be completed between the two clubs.
Manchester United chiefs will reportedly hold a meeting with Marcus Rashford's representatives as a decision has been made over his future. The forward has been linked with a move to San Siro, with Milan bosses having already held talks.
According to reports in Italy, the Serie A side are 'confident' that Rashford will join them this month. However, they do face competition for his services from Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona.
Milan are likely to agree a loan deal for the United Academy graduate but will need his English colleagues to pay part of his wages for the remainder of the campaign.
