Manchester United -boss Ruben Amorim will be frustrated that no new signing sessions have arrived if he is looking for new recruits that can fit into his system.
United is strongly linked to a number of players this month – especially with left back because the Portuguese is looking for more coverage after Luke Shaw's injury, while Tyrell Malacia probably seems to be leaving.
A new attacker is also on his wish list, but after the impressive 1-0 victory of the team at Fulham, he may be optimistic that his team is starting to adapt to his methods.
Mirror Football has taken a look at all the big transfer news and gossip on his way to next week's transfer deadline.
United handed Dorgu Blow
The Red Devils have been having a movement for Lecce Left-Back Patrick Dorgu for many weeks, with their second £ 27 million offered by the Italian club.
Fabrizio Romano has reported that United will seduce the club with a different offer, with the time that runs for the deadline on 3 February.
But United got another blow in their pursuit of Dorgu, while the President of the Club hinted that their plan was to hold their Star assets.
Sticchi Damiani said: “Man United? We try to keep the player, it's our plan. At one point you have to be logic; but we want to keep our best players in January.”
To put together United Set-Back, Dorgu started Lecce in their 4-0 defeat against Inter Milan on Sunday and played the full 90 minutes.
Amorim Hints Garnacho could stay
Alejandro Garnacho has not had the easiest time at United since Amorim arrived in October, with the Argentinian a peripheral figure below the Portuguese coach in his reign.
The 20-year-old has sometimes struggled for minutes and is connected to the starting door in the January transfer window. It is said that Chelsea is interested in the winger and there have even been rumors that he could be involved in a swap deal with Christopher Nunku.
But Garnacho's playing time has been steadily improved in recent weeks after he started two of the last three league matches of United – including the 1-0 win over Fulham on Sunday.
Speaking before the competition in Craven Cottage, Amorim shed through that Garnacho could stay, even though he would probably leave the club this month.
“He is our player and I am really happy with Garnacho, he improves a lot,” he said. 'I think he had had a really good game last Thursday [vs Rangers].
“He is a young child, so he can recover very well, he is prepared for this game and we want to use all the talent of Garnacho to win this game.” Rio reveals Rashford reason for Exit
Ferdinand explains Rashford's exit position
Marcus Rashford looks the most likely united player to leave before the end of the window, leaving the England forward from another of Amorim's competition day squadrons for the victory over Fulham.
Barcelona would lead the pursuit for the signature of the 27-year-old in a loan agreement, but an agreement appears far from sure, with Borussia Dortmund also said that he has registered an interest.
Rashford said he needed a new challenged in December when he gave a bomb interview in which he revealed his desire for an exit – insisting that there would be no hard feelings if he eventually left.
And now former United star Rio Ferdinand has revealed his conviction that Rashford is looking for a move after he has been “switched” in recent years.
He said to the Daily Mail: “Manchester United, also people around Marcus, must ensure that he leaves both mentally and physically in the best tact. Mentally even more important because I think he has been persuaded for a few years now.
“But that also comes on the territory of being a Manchester United player. And if you are stopped as one of the faces of the club, then that is part of the package that unfortunately at Man United.”
“I think it is always easy for everyone to take on and think what he should do, but I think only Marcus and his team know what the benefits of stay in Manchester or at United are.
“The only thing I would advise him on – if I was his adviser – he is never 100 percent sure that the decision he makes at this intersection is right. He is going to do something – whether he is going or he goes or if he goes or goes Whether he goes or whether he goes or is going or is going – and when he makes that decision, he will still not be 100 percent sure.
