Manchester United are facing another hectic week after the success of the Manchester derby.
The Red Devils staged a heroic comeback against their fierce rivals at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday. They now face Spurs in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals on Thursday, ahead of a showdown with Bournemouth at the weekend.
And although Ruben Amorim will be busy preparing his players, there is also a lot of work going on behind the scenes. The January transfer window will open in a few weeks.
The Red Devils have been linked with a move for a host of stars ahead of the winter window, while some current United players could leave. Check out all the latest rumors here:
Former Man United captain Harry Maguire has revealed that 'positive' talks are underway over a new contract with the club. Maguire has just six months left on his current contract, with a club option to extend that for another season.
After the weekend win, Maguire said: “Listen, I didn't really think about it. I still have this year to go, with an option in their hands.
“But yes, the conversations are ongoing and all signs are positive at the moment. The conversation I'm having is really positive.”
Maguire was given a surprise start against Man City at the Etihad and impressed in the Red Devils' win.
Manchester United could expand their attacking options in January with a move for Randal Kolo Muani. The Frenchman has found limited opportunities at current club PSG this season.
He made just two starts for the team and scored twice. And the French giants have made a decision that could benefit the Red Devils.
According to L'Equipe, they would be open to sending him out on loan. United would face competition from clubs in Germany for the services of Kolo Muani.
Manchester United have been told to use a double defender this summer – ahead of Brentford's Mads Roerslev and Fulham star Joachim Andersen. Ex-Red Devils defender Wes Brown said: “Joachim Andersen is a player that clubs like Manchester United may be keeping an eye on. If you can be as consistent as he is in the Premier League for a mid-table club then you will certainly what players attract.” interest from elsewhere.
“He is a player with a lot of experience and should the need arise he could be the subject of bids from clubs playing in Europe. Mads Roerslev is a difficult player who gets to players when he has the ball and Thomas Frank has seen that clearly.” something special in him and he has repaid that faith.
“If Ruben Amorim wants an extra player in the right-back position then he is a player to watch. It will be interesting to see how he develops at Brentford and whether other clubs look to strengthen their squad in January.”
