Manchester United is connected this summer to a well -known pointed goal, who overlooked the club for signing Rasmus Hojlund in 2023
Manchester United has been associated with a new move for PSG star Randal Kolo Muani, after he had previously focused in 2023. The club finally chose to sign Rasmus Hojlund for Kolo Muani that summer, but the French international seems to be available again.
United was seduced by the long -term potential of Hojlund, which was impressed during his time in Atalanta, which resulted in a striking relocation of £ 72 million to Old Trafford. After a slow start, the young Dane ended his debut season with 16 goals in all competitions, but he thought it was just 10 times in the past term.
While United is working on improving their front line through the signing sessions of Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, Ruben Amorim's side is also linked to a new number nine. Kolo Muani was beaten by Hojlund maybe two years ago, but reports in Italy claimed that United focused on the PSG attacker, who spent time on loan in Juventus last season.
Gazzetta Dello Sport has reported that United has entered the race to sign Kolo Muani. The French International completed an initial £ 65 million (€ 75 million) relocation to PSG in 2023 after a productive spell at Eintracht Frankfurt, who also caught the attention of United.
The 26-year-old has since struggled to strengthen his place in the French club, but showed signs of his best form during his Juventus Loan spell and scored 10 goals in 22 games. Gazzetta Dello Sport claims that Kolo Muani remains a top objective for Juventus and discussions with PSG are underway, but United also strives for the attacker.
It has been reported that the interest of United in Kolo Munai, who claims to favor a return to Turin, has become concrete since he missed Viktor Gyokeres at Arsenal. In the meantime, PSG would like to complete a permanent sale for the attacker, although Juventus reportedly proposed a loan costs of £ 8.6 million (€ 10 million) prior to a future deal of £ 39 million (€ 45 million).
However, if United succeeds in making Juventus target white Kolo Muani, this can have a knock-on effect for Hojlund. Gazzetta Dello Sport claims that Kolo Muani on his way to Old Trafford would lead to Juventus having an interest in signing Hojlund on loan.
Hojlund has Serie A experience from his only season with Atalanta. The 22-year-old scored nine competition goals for the Bergamo club before he sealed his large money movement to United.
The potential arrival of Kolo Muani would threaten Hojlund's place in the pecking order. He is already competing with Joshua Zirkzee and younger Chido Obi for a starting point, while new signing sessions Cunha and Mbeumo can also be considered alternative center forces.
Kolo Muani is a need for a new start, because it recently emerged that he was made to train with the youth team while PSG seems to be loading the attacker. If a movement does not come out this summer, he will be confronted with the non-enviable task of competing with PSG's Champions League-winning attack for playing time.
United is also linked to movements for Ollie Watkins from Aston Villa and Juventus Vooruit Dusan Vlahovic. United -Baas Amorim, however, recently played the need for the team for new signing sessions.
“The moment we have to be careful when we sign a player,” Amorim explained. “If I start the season with this team, I will be happy.”
He added: “You feel the bond between the players in the best teams. We remind ourselves how special it is to be at the best club in the world. I really like to be in a group that is healthy. We are going to suffer, but that feeling of bonding is really important. The mind is positive.”
