Manchester United has passed a terrible season 2024/25 and it could still go under Ruben Amorim, because the campaign reaches its last throws with Champions League football still to play for
The 2024/25 season is one that will not live long in the memory of Manchester United fans. The Red Devils have undergone a miserable campaign in their own country in the midst of a terrible Premier League form.
United look out for their first half of half since 1990, while they are also more outside both domestic cups. It has made club heads major changes, with Ruben Amorim Erik ten Hag at the helm at the helm at the helm.
And even the former sporty Lisbon coach has not been able to inspire a serious revival in shape or results. But things can all change in the coming weeks, with a Champions League place still for grabbing thanks to their Europa League exploits.
So, Mirror Football has decided to see the future to see how things can be right for the Red Devils or indeed very long. View what we predicted:
Let's start with the positive, a Champions League place is still in one way or another in United's hands. They will have to win the Europa League to do it, with their way to a potential final that has already been decided.
In a dream world, United beyond the French side Lyon will illuminate two legs to seal a semi-final confrontation with athletic Bilbao or Rangers. And if they conquer one of those two, they will stand up one of the other four quarter -finalists, including Tottenham, Frankfurt, Lazio or Bodo/Glim.
On paper, the Norwegian side would be the easiest team to come across in the final, but there are still enough things to decide before the club can start considering potential opponents. Back to the Premier League, a top half finish is also within the handle of United.
As it looks now, they are seven points of the pace to break in the upper half, but she would certainly force a good form of shape. It can require a considerable drop-off from their rivals, but United would certainly assume how it will be.

Away from team goals, there are numerous individuals who wants to find United a form on their way to the next season, including Rasmus Hojlund. The Danish attacker has passed a rotten campaign, but started scoring that recently hit the back of the net in each of his last two performances for Club and Country.
United will be hopeful that he expands that form and eventually demonstrates the promise that United convinced to renounce a huge amount for his services. And if he does, it can be the need of the club to greatly spend on another striker.
An important negative for United this season is the long list of injuries they have sustained this season. As it looks now, they have limited ten stars to the sidelines.
This includes important players Lisandro Martinez, Amad, Kobbie Mainoo and Patrick Dorgu, while promising defender Ayden Heaven is also out. If United can see a large number of those stars recover and find a shape prior to a summer vacation and the preseason, this will only be positive.
Although there are still many twists and turns between now and the end of the season, things can all go very wrong for the Red Devils. Let's start with what their season is currently dependent – the Europa League.
They could very easily be eliminated by Lyon in the quarter -final phase, a result that their season would effectively see in April. And that could have major consequences, with the lack of a Champions League payment day that would probably affect United's plans to invest in Amorim's team.
Speaking of money, United could see their wallet touch even more by a bad Premier League finish. Although the 13th place would be a terrible end to the campaign, it could get even worse, with a very realistic chance that United even ended 16th, with West Ham that occupied that place, only three points on the back.
That would represent the worst competition performance of United since 1974 when they were banned from the top flight. And that would see their potential performance income falling even lower.
An overwhelming finish such as it can have serious consequences for the moral within the group, with a number of stars who want to leave the club without European football. Although Bruno Fernandes never expressed the wish to leave, he could look after that disappointment to leave Old Trafford.
Other players who could leave are Mainoo, Alejandro Garnaacho and more as the true reality of the terrible season of the club extends to them.
