The lack of goals of Manchester United has been identified as a major problem with Ruben Amorim who wants to go after Victor Osimhen, while the Matheus Cunha release clause makes him feasible
Manchester United seems to have accepted their lack of firepower, is their biggest problem prior to this summer's transfer window. The Red Devils are among the lowest scorers of the Premier League with Victor Osimhen as a target.
Ruben Amorim has difficulty making an impact so far and the lack of goals in his team is an important factor. Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund have both been unable to find the net regularly with new faces that are the target – including Osimhen.
Although none of the front pair of United has hit double digits, the Nigerian striker, who is on loan on the Turkish side Galatasaray from Napoli, has 29 goals in 34 games this season. Instead, he will return to Italy, where his contract has 12 months to walk.
The Manchester outfit wants to benefit from his situation and sign the player for far below his market value while continuing with a £ 40 million deal. Osimhen, formerly a target for Chelsea, has been open about his desire to eventually play in the Premier League.
United has trusted Bruno Fernandes in recent months, but there has been a lack of help for the Portuguese playmaker. Amorim's 3-4-3 formation still has to bear fruit at Old Trafford and the three attacking players bear enormous responsibility.
With Fernandes who need more help, United is ready to plunder the market with Matheus Cunha, together with Osimhen, among the players on which they focus. The Wolves star has proven to be a huge hit and has been the main reason that they have sent themselves away from the drop.
Liverpool -Baas Arne Slot stated earlier that Cunha could play for an elite side and the new contract he signed in January included a release clause of £ 62.5 million. United is willing to pay it if they take the first step in the race to sign the attacker, who could further compliment their front line, and they have been encouraged that he wants to move to Old Trafford.
Amorim has defended Hojlund in recent days after he had fired a blank in the loss during the weekend. De Dane cost more than £ 70 million fewer than two years ago, but has not reached the expected heights and confessed the red Devils boss that strikers will always be measured on goals, but called on his teammates to support him.
Several of the other attacking options from United were unable to deliver earlier this season, whereby Amorim would like to send them on loan. Marcus Rashford and Antony have left behind for some time, despite both in the past that they can contribute heavily.
Both men excelled since they went on loan with Rashford, starting for Aston Villa and Antony who regularly influences things for real betis. Both men could still be cashed in to help finance United's summer recruitment with Jadon Sancho, another man whose future could lie elsewhere while the Manchester -Outfit would find a winning formula in attack.
A front three of Fernandes, Cunha and Osimhen would add another dimension to United who already have pieces of the puzzle, some of which have not yet clicked. Manuel Ugarte played under Amorim in Sporting Lisbon and is used to his midfield system with Kobbie Mainoo a lot in the middle of the park.
Defensive Leny Yoro has shown enough to suggest that he will only improve given his tender age. Harry Maguire has doubts doubts and talked about an exit to keep coming up, while Lisandro Martinez, currently sidelined by injury, one of the best defenders of the club belonged to his debut year in the club.
It is on the flanks where United probably goes in the summer with wing trays, a specialized position, so the key to what Amorim tries to achieve.
