Manchester United has received a boost in their attempt to build a new Old Trafford and to transform the area.
Last month United revealed images of the 100,000-seat places super land that they intend to build near their current house.
But the Red Devils also have big plans for the Old Trafford area prior to building their new house, which they hope will be active in five years.
According to Manchester Evening News, Manchester Giants are planning to transform and regenerate a vast area of land around Old Trafford.
And that is why Trafford Council has appointed a consortium to design a strategic master plan.
The Council announced on Wednesday that the Consortium, led by Architects Allies and Morrison, “will implement his plan to breathe new life into Trafford Wharfside, leading to thousands of new houses and jobs in the area”.
There are plans for a new “procession route” to the stadium – north along Sir Matt Busby Way – and a large new “public space” of world class “around the stadium.
A new public park is also being prepared, while a new primary school can be built.
And the waters of the Scheepskanaal in Manchester will offer a background for a new community of houses, attractions, leisure activities and matters.

A spokesperson said: “It will collaborate with Trafford Council alongside Manchester United Football Club, the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA), a proposed mayor development company and other important partners to deliver a transformational and sustainable international destination for residents, companies and visitors.
“The master plan is intended to be completed early next year.”
The new stadium of Man Utd has received a mixed reaction because the first images have left some fans – as well as legends such as Ryan Giggs – less than enthusiastic.
And it has been claimed that United could reduce the costs of building the new land by £ 300 million if they made the original plans some changes.
