Manchester United and Arsenal ‘receive boost in pursuit of Viktor Gyokeres’

Sporting Sporting Lisbon Striker Viktor Gyokeres has come to an agreement with the Portuguese during a summer transfer, a report claimed.

The Swedish star, who wrote a five -year -old deal with Sporting in 2023, is said to have a verbal agreement that will enable him to leave for £ 60 million.

That reimbursement would represent something of a bargain for the 26-year-old, given his remarkable exploits in the Portuguese top flight since his takeover of championship equipment Coventry City.

It would also come if a large blessing for his series of lovers, including Manchester United and Arsenal, who would reasonably expect that they renounce the £ 85 million compensation that his release clause would be.

According to Sky Germany, Gyokeres could now be available for much less. Sports are mainly motivated to increase the price for their sought-after star due to a sale clause from the Sky Blues.

The report claims that the Gunners, Red Devils, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City – who will soon be home to Sporting's sports director Hugo Viana – are all aware of the agreement.

The news came a month after sporting President Frederico Varandas had played the prospects of an exit for gyokoeres.

“Gyokees left in the summer, a year and a half ago,” he said. 'Gyokeres would leave anyway. We were champions and he was already leaving.

“It was impossible in January and it stayed that way,” he added. “I'm not going to add, it's already very media drives and it's not worth talking about the summer market.”

Earlier this month, the Portuguese Outlet record claimed that the striker had told the club about his wish to move at the end of the term. Gyokees has scored 40 goals in 41 games in all competitions for sport this season, including 28 times nets in 25 league games.

His goals have seen him move to the top 20 goal scorers of Sporting in the history of the club, even though he joined the club in the summer of 2023. He has scored a stunning 83 goals in 91 performances for the club since he stepped into a £ 20 million at Coventry.

A move to Old Trafford would see him reunited with his former boss Ruben Amorim.
