Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho and Antony have contracts until 2028, the club of which is expected to subsidize, even if they leave
Manchester United is confronted with the prospect of paying players millions to leave Old Trafford this summer, with buying clubs ready to use the need to discharge players before the start of the Premier League season.
Alejandro Garnacho was the newest United player who made his feelings clear during his future in the club when he was depicted this week in the Marcus Rashford shirt, who was frozen last season by Ruben Amorim and lent to Aston Villa.
Garnacho, Rashford and Brazil Antony have contracts until 2028, of which United is now expected to subsidize, even if they leave the club and play for a rival. Jadon Sancho will also be allowed to leave after loans in the last two campaigns.
It is, however, understood that Chelsea and United discussed the loan from Sancho last season in a permanent deal, with the move that collapsed over the percentage of wages that were covered by the United, which signed him for £ 73 million from Borussia Dortmund with a salary of £ 200,000 per week.
United will try to negotiate “salary repair” of loan agreements for their players, although intermediaries believe that their negotiating power has been undermined by clearly wanting players from their books want.
Rashford was not included in Matchday Squadrons from Amorim before his loan to Villa, which resulted in a recall in England. Last week he made his wish to play for Barcelona in an interview with a Spanish broadcaster. While Tottenham Hotspur is looking for a winger, Barca seems to be priority at the moment.
Garnacho's shirt capital came after Amorim told him that he could find a new club at the end of last season, while Antony was lent to Real Betis for the 2024/25 campaign.
Betis is interested in a further deal for Antony. Interestingly, Spanish sources say that United has discussed with Betis about owning some of his registration fees, which is effective a sale clause if the signing of £ 82 million from the Erik ten Hag era is sold on a further date.
It is still to be seen whether the extraordinary players would go to America on tour. In 2019, Romelu seemed to leave Lukaku to leave United, but still toured with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team.
The future of Rasmus Hojlund has also appeared uncertainly in the midst of interest from Inter Milan. The Denmark striker is another player with a 2028 contract, with the option of a further season such as Antony. Sancho has left for a year at his deal at United, but the club can activate an extension of a year, which would prevent him from leaving for free next summer.
Antony's deal for betis saw the Spanish side cover 84 percent of its salary, while Rashford had covered 75 percent by villa, but that could have risen to 90 percent, depending on the versions.
