Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim makes Real Madrid target priority
Manchester United are one of several clubs looking to sign a left-back next summer, and they have not given up on the idea of signing Alphonso Davies from Bayern Munich. The Austrian is out of contract next summer and Los Blancos are confident a deal will get over the line.
The latest update from agent Nedal Huoseh is that Davies has not signed or agreed anything with anyone, with Bayern still trying to keep hold of him. Barcelona have also shown an interest in Davies of late, with manager Hansi Flick a fan of his, but they believe he is unlikely to struggle for Real Madrid. The European champions have been working on a move for almost two years and believe it is a matter of getting that work done.
German insider Florian Plettenberg says Manchester United are also still pursuing Davies, and the hunt for their next left-back is in full swing. However, the Red Devils are aware that a deal will be difficult and have named former Real Madrid left-back Theo Hernandez as an alternative, who has just over 18 months left on his contract with AC Milan.
