Manchester United open to selling Real Madrid target Dalot– report
Manchester United have attracted a lot of interest in full-back Diogo Dalot since his arrival, but it appears they are looking to let him go for the first time. The Portuguese full-back has been linked with a move to Spain several times, with Real Madrid having shown interest of late.
The story came out on Monday that Real Madrid inquired about Dalot while Erik ten Hag was still in charge of the Red Devils. Despite Dalot remaining important under compatriot Ruben Amorim, The Independent say United would be willing to consider a sale for around €60 million as part of their means to finance the signing of Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP.
At 25 years old and with a contract until 2028, Dalot's value is unlikely to increase much in the coming years, making it a good time to sell for United. Although it is said that the two are not dependent on each other, it seems likely that they will not spend much on Dalot if they sign Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool on a free transfer. Tottenham Hotspur's Pedro Porro is also seen as an alternative at right-back.
