MANCHESTER United players are hoping to turn to Manchester City rivals for VIP tickets to Oasis reunion gigs.
City's Jack Grealish, John Stones, Kyle Walker and Phil Foden are close friends with Noel and Liam Gallagher, who can often be seen in the dressing room celebrating derby wins.
The Oasis brothers like to joke about United's lack of recent trophies.
But United players hope friendships formed with City stars on international duty and other roles will prove crucial.
Cards could be passed on to Red Devils Amad Diallo and Bruno Fernandes, among others.
A source said: “The United boys are used to being the hottest ticket in town. They have a lot of lackeys who generally get them what they want.
“But they know that contacting Liam or Noel won't help, so they hope their fellow citizens can use their contacts.” Oasis play Manchester's Heaton Park in July.
Grealish has said he had yet to get tickets from Noel because he was unsure when City would play in the Club World Cup next summer.
But he added: “Trust me, I'll be there. It will be the first time I see them live.”
Noel, who is also friends with City boss Pep Guardiola, has previously spoken about how most of his family support United.
He said: “Only myself, Liam and our brother Paul are City fans. The rest of my family – there must be about six thousand of them – are united. But I'm glad my father took us to City.”
Oasis split in 2009, a year after City were taken over by Abu Dhabi United Group. Since then they have won eight Premier League titles.
United have not won one since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013.
