Sky Sports' Gary Neville reacted with dismay to Manchester United's dismal performance in the 2-0 defeat to Newcastle. This is what Marcel said live in co-commentary…
Sky Sports pundit Neville was on co-commentary at Old Trafford and witnessed another despicable performance from his former side.
Here's how the Man Utd legend reacted as the match played out in front of him…
After Isak's early opener…
“Casemiro and [Christian] Eriksen does not have the legs to move.
“Manchester United had three centre-backs… there is a deflection, but one of them has to pick up the danger man.
“Manchester United's confidence has been damaged.
“It's so easy for Newcastle. The game is there to be won.”
When Isak missed a one-on-one shortly afterwards…
“What was that?!
'He should definitely overshoot it [Andre] Onana in the far corner.
“But [Lisandro] Martinez's defense was terrible.”
When Joelinton made it 2-0…
“Look at Martinez. He has to be aggressive next to him. He has to do better.”
“[Harry] Maguire looks back and can't believe he's unchallenged. Martinez needs to go body-to-body.
'It's almost a copy.
“Casemiro and Eriksen should not be playing together in the Premier League. It's just that easy.”
As the first half progressed…
“Newcastle hammering Manchester United. This is a mauling.
“When you saw the Manchester United starting XI, you thought it would be very difficult for this team to play well.
“The two full-backs are not very good in the attacking part of the pitch. The two central midfielders cannot run. The back three have no legs. [Joshua] Zirkzee no longer has any balance [Rasmus] Hojlund.
'You actually only have Amad [Diallo] that you think he could do something.
'Newcastle are having the time of their lives there. There should be three or four of them.
'They were absolutely terrible. You're looking at the worst pound-for-pound team in the country.
“[Diogo] Dalot is very willing and he gets up there, but his options with the abilities he has as a full-back are limited.
“I'm looking at [Ruben] Amorim and he must be thinking: 'What am I looking at?'
'There are only three who can say that they are doing well under Amorim: Dalot, [Noussair] Mazraoui and Amad.”
When Zirkzee was eliminated in the 33rd minute…
'I have to feel sorry for him.
“He's actually been cheered by his own fans and that's cruel.
“I haven't seen that very often at Old Trafford.
'It's cruel to him. I don't suspect he went back for a Lucozade.'
Second half thoughts…
“I'm surprised there weren't any changes at half-time, I thought there would be.
“Newcastle remains compact and likes to sit back. It is Manchester United that must take the lead.
“The amount of changes that Manchester United make in the game and from game to game in their back five is incredible.
“It's been a struggle for Casemiro and it's been a struggle for Martinez.
“Since [Kobbie] Mainoo's introduction was better for Manchester United.
“The first half hour was embarrassing, as bad as you'll see.”
While Man Utd struggled to score…
“There was a graph shown before the match by Jamie Carragher which showed that when Manchester United have played Mazraoui and Dalot, the more defensive full-backs, they have not scored a goal in open play.
“That's grim and it's happening again before our eyes.”
About player of the match Isak…
“I'm stating the obvious, but Isak is a great player.
“The match was won by this man in the first twenty minutes.”
